I'm pretty positive it was on a rather obscure site, not on this or FF.net ... nor was it on walking the plank. It was lengthy and the things I remember which happen are that it had quite a few major twists towards the end. It was sort of an alternate reality, where in this, Harry & snape had been together for a while and something happened to 'his' snape (soul wise or something) and he basically got swapped with canon snape if you like, where (let's just stick to 'canon snape') had lost his body (after nagini) but he hadn't lost his soul or something and so his soul got like transferred over into old alternate reality's snape's body. Part of the fic was the whole mystery of harry trying to find out what 'old' snape had done, with all this complex magic and various -grams set up around their house or something where he finds out that 'his' snape had set this up deliberately for it to work out the way it did. Canon snape, also realises when he came to in this new life, that the way this snape lived was the way he would like to live (experimentation with potions etc). He also has to come to terms with yeah, the relationship harry had with this like, old snape and eventually they sort of work it out into some form of understanding and relationship.
