Guest echtrae Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 Bush strikes again. Bush asserted the new authority Dec. 20 after signing legislation that overhauls some postal regulations. He then issued a "signing statement" that declared his right to open mail under emergency conditions, contrary to existing law and contradicting the bill he had just signed, according to experts who have reviewed it. Bush says feds can open mail without warrant Quote
Guest Big Samurai Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 Looks like it's time for Pelosi to get the cape and tights. I don't see this 'warrantless' crap flying very well with the current Congress. Quote
Guest echtrae Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 I certainly hope not, otherwise it'd be time to try a new set of congress critters. Quote
dazzledfirestar Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 Have I mentioned recently how happy I am to be Canadian? How much longer til you guys get rid of that maniac?? Yeesh!! Quote
quamp Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 So that's why all my porno mags have been coming to me already opened! Well, George realizes that he's a lame duck, but unfortunately, he's going to try to turn the blade as much as he can before he goes... Quote
Guest echtrae Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 Unfortunately, he's not lame enough. Quote

EveKnight75 Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 Have I mentioned recently how happy I am to be Canadian? How much longer til you guys get rid of that maniac?? Yeesh!! As far as I know, I'm the only Canadian on this board with some power to get rid of Bush. Not much I can do about Congress until I actually move back to the U.S (which will definitely be after 2008, because that's when we'll have the power to get rid of that maniac). Remember to e-mail me your votes for President and I'll see what I can do with mine. Quote
