trying to find an old one

I was trawling through some of my old bookmarks and was reminded of a story that I read quite some time ago. I don't remember the author, nor the title, nor even if it was actually on AFF.net (though I feel pretty sure it was....)

What I do remember was that it was m/m. The plot involved a young man who had just been brought to some sort of mansion/very fancy household. He tries to run away at least once, damaging himself. Towards the end of the story, his purpose at the house is finally made clear, the master of the house calls him something like a "lion cub", idk, the point was the young man was going to be training to take over whatever business the master of the house was running.

Some of the chapters had pronoun titles like "Him" and "You" and "Yours" or some such. It didn't have many chapters to it, like six or seven maybe?

Really want to find this again and bookmark it properly.

I think the business was to do with slavery. The master of the house had started out in the same position as the young man (slave or equivalent) and was grooming him to do the same. I think the young man may also have arrived scarred up, and had a servant or other member of the household staff to kind of babysit him. They were trying to educate the young manor something; they had lessons he didn't pay much attention to.

This sounded some-what similar to what your were explaining, except some of the things you said seemed a tad off. I think I might be wrong, but the chapter titles do have "him" and stuff like that, and the ending part of the story sounds like what you were explaining... though I'm not too sure about the "lion cub" :/
