Lily and James are alive and Harry was kidnapped or something and brainwashed into believing his parents abused him and the DE's saved him. Anytime he finds out truth he's obliviated. He's considered Voldy's heir and most deadly assassin. But Harry's not evil he just pretends. Like with the Longbottom parents, he was sent to kill them but found that Alice was pregnant so he hid them away and fakked their torture and death. He obliviated the parents and gave them new lives as muggles and Neville swore revenge. There are other examples of him helping people, like once he came across kids being tortured and got them to the floo to escape when he was little. I'm pretty sure there is a sequel to the story too.
