When I was growing up it was Thundercats and Teegage mutant ninja turtles. I see that recently they've revamped one TMNT but not thundercats, shame really. What was your favorite cartoon to watch when you were a kid?

Alright I liked carebears too, spread it around and I'll hurt you.

Mine was the Saturday morning Sonic the Hedgehog series. I loved that show and the subtle liberal messages therein. Hehe.

Now, though, I think one of my favorites is the Venture Bros.

When I was a kid? (Cranks back the old memory chip) I think it was the Flintstones, although I can't say it was a favorite. Just something to pass the time. Also LooneyTunes, but I hated the entire concept of the prey animals getting revenge on the predators. It was just too weird. Later on, it was the really old Spiderman, but the same landscape in the background and too many "web-snapping" quips made me appreciate the Flintstones. Then the Jetsons came along, and that was somewhat more interesting...

I've concluded that playing in the sandbox was better than any cartoon I ever watched as a kid.

I really enjoyed watching Captain Planet and the planeteers as that showed in the end of the show that we should take care of the world(after all, we only have one earth). I think also that He-Man had also some learning it the end. I wished that todays kids shows also would make moral or learning the kids some lessons like don't throw trash every were it should be in the garbage can.

I liked Scooby-Doo (the classics without Scrappy), and She-Ra, I even occasionally watched Jem and the Holograms (she was truly outrageous).

Then there was

Johnny Quest, Beetlejuice (was that car really named Do-Me?), Josie and the Pussycats, Flash Gordon, Space Ghost (before he got a talk show), Plastic-Man,

the Jetsons, the Archies, Birdman, Aquaman, Pac-Man, Hong-Kong Fooey (quicker than the human eye), The Schoolhouse Rock spots (Conjunction Junction, "I forgot my Adjectives" and Interjection!), Rocky and Bullwinkle, Speed Racer, Super Friends, Pink Panther, Voltron, U.S. Acres, Garfield and Friends, Thundarr the Barbarian (LORDS OF LIGHT!), Jana of the Jungle, and the Herculoids.

Super Chicken- "When you find that you're in trouble

The Mighty Hercules made in the 60's, I think. I loved it and it had a theme song that begged for fanfic (now that I think about it)-

Hercules, hero of song and story

Hercules, winner of ancient glory

fighting for the right, fighting with his might

with the strength of tenordinary men

Hercules, people are safe when near him

Hercules, only the evil fear him

softness in his eyes, iron in his thighs

virtue in his heart fire in every part

of the mighty Hercules!

But my absolute favorite was

Dungeon's and Dragon's (I never missed it on Saturday morning)

My favorite as a kid was Thundarr the Barbarian.

Though admittedly over the years I have never really lost my interest in cartoons and will even sometimes sit around and watch them every so often.

Over the years, some of the ones that I have liked are:

Dungeons & Dragons

Freakazoid

The Tick

Jackie Chan

Space Ghost (the original, not the talk show)

Hard to remember what I enjoyed most now. Off the top of me head maybe

The Real Ghostbusters... but there was a lot back then I think I liked them pretty much equally; teenage mutant hero turtles, loony toons, duck tails, raccoons, jayce(sp?) and the wheeled warriors, scooby doo, thundercats, rescue rangers etc etc... even captain bloomin' planet.
