I skimmed the first chapter. My first impression was that the author is a bad writer who can't make the type of story work. After reading a little more, I strongly suspect that the writer is just going for shock value.

To answer your question: No, I don't think there are "boundaries" on AFF when it comes to what should be inside a story, nor do I think there should be. Censoring some types of adult stories but not others is a very slippery slope that AFF does not want to go near.

...Well, none of my violent sexual mutilation or excrable puns have broken a boundary yet, but I'm sure there's time. There is a rule against real person minors featuring in stories, so that's a boundary.

Psychostorm is fairly regular on the forum (last post July 26th, I see!) so If you wanted to ask them specific questions about that story you could always PM to get their attention :(

Well, what do you mean by "boundaries"? When people talk about non-physical boundaries, they're usually referring to socially-constructed ideas of what is acceptable in any given situation. Said boundaries are also not usually rules, but unwritten (and often unspoken) agreements.

So...what do you mean?

Yeah, i gotta agree with 'what do you mean by a boundary?'

Age? Species? Position? Orifice? Language?

Spellcheck? Grammar? Lack of control of the CAP LOCK key?

I've written a Ham Sandwich scene with two Old Testament characters and a unicorn.

If that hasn't gotten the place burned to the ground...

Let's just say that both writers and their stories who are guilty of all that (oh, and I forgot: unbeta'd stories, especially if writer doesn't use his/her native language) should be cast out in the Eternal Void, killed, raped, burnt at the stake, eviscerated, decapitated and eaten. Possibly not in this order.

Then again, I'm rather sure that persons in charge really do not have time to seek out such abominations. I just wanted to rant.

I am fine with unbetaed stories, so long as the author tries to spell correctly, do the best with grammar and leaves the capslock key alone.

However, a beta really helps out and I would whole-heartedly recommend everyone to use one.
