I have another question! There are cases where an image, whether official or art, inspires me to write a story. Often, I feel that I should provide the image either to give proper respect for the idea or so it's easier for people to visualize what I've written. Is there a way I can do this?

Well, something similar happened to me with an OC in one of my fics.

I wanted the readers to totally know how this character was, and I felt

my description fell a little short, so what I did was find an image which

resembled what I wanted to show the readers and posted the URL

at the end of the first chapter with the appropriate explanation.

If you want to show the image that inspired the story, I suggest you

include the URL to the image at the beggining of the writing, explaining

and/or recommending the readers to see the image to fully understand your fic.

Other than that... I doubt you can include an actual picture on a story.

I hope that was helpful.

That's what I mean. So including a link to an image would be okay? No special formatting criteria or anything of that nature?

Including a link to the image would be fine. It is, in fact, the only way to do it. Just remember that not all the users are going to know that they have to copy/paste the link in the browser bar, and that it might be a good idea to tell them that as well.
