  1. New theme ...um... Things sold in a traditional market! A: Apples
  2. I voted yes, with consent. Then again, my cultural background tolerates polygamy...
  3. IIRC, I've seen another similar study about attractive measurements on men, as judged by women. The researchers come from a fashion school. Knowing scientifically what makes men/women attractive can be very useful for these industries.
  4. E: Emma Frost (White Queen)--doesn't that cover both the superhero and supervillain parts?
  5. Actually, I don't find this study a waste of money. Think of the applications for the modeling and fitness industries. What was once a hunch, now became fact supported by a scientific study.
  6. Y: Yodit ('Judith') a Jewish-Ethiopian princess/rebel leader in the medieval ages
  7. R: Her Majesty Rania, Queen of Jordan
  8. O: Ophelia, of Hamlet fame
  9. U: Ulugh Beg, of... some Mongol kingdom in central Asia.
  10. L: LEONIDAS! THIS IS SPARTAAAA!!!
  11. J: Jugurtha, Numidian king from Roman times.
  12. W: Wire Attach to two posts with one end lower, then strap yourself on the high end of said wire with a safe harness, and let gravity do the job.
  13. Interesting topic you brought up. Generally, I consider that good vs evil issues in stories may indicate some degree of 'matureness'. I can't say this is a generalization but stories intended for a more 'mature' audience tend to have more complex moral issues. Maybe it's like Harry Potter/Narnia vs His Dark Materials. The first ones [fanfics dosen't count!] have quite straightforward 'good' and 'evil' sides, whereas in HDM you're given grey characters.
  14. I think the best response the AFF community can give is to actually pursue and expand this idea in writing. If the US Army ain't gonna do it, then we could!
  15. I claim A! Theme is... Things you can fall off from (now that's RANDOM!) A: Apartment buildings
