In the Red - Last Step Bickymonster: I really enjoyed this story and I am rarely a fan of super powerful Harry; you manage to make it subtle and interesting enough that it didn't put me off. That resolved itself more quickly than I expected. Thank goodness Severus finally decided to look beyond his first, instinctive reaction and actually LISTEN to what Harry had tried to tell him. At least, I guess that's what happened. In Chapter 16 you wrote something like "He looked at Harry but saw only Potter." In my review I forgot to mention that I really like that line; it conveys a lot of meaning. Off to read the epilogue now. Yeah, Severus was not quite as thick-headed as he sometimes can be, but I guess he realised that sometimes you need to take a leap of faith... Glad you liked that line Ch. 19 Awww. And sniffle. That was a beautiful ending. I won't say "perfect" because perfect would be also getting the answers to the many questions about Harry's job; e.g., why he seemed at times almost to know about future events, such as that he would need an identifying mark on Severus, to name only one example (because I can't remember another another one off the top of my head, lol). Maybe some questions will be answered in a sequel (hint, hint)? I don't know if AFF allows us to mark stories as favourites, but if it does then I will! I guess I can understand that you would like some answers, but I never intended to end this story with a great reveal. I like the mystery and the hint that Severus might get some of those answers even if the reader doesn't. In the Red - Step Sixteen mnfm: The chapter was great, sad by great. Divorce! Please. After everything they've been through. Thank you! Now that's on the table, let's see if Severus really wants to get a divorce... qwerty: Well didn't see that one coming lol. Harry said that he didn't want a divorce and Severus was angry, cutting Harry's words off. So I'm gonna go ahead and think that Harry doesn't actually want a divorce and was simply trying to show all the facts of the story to Severus, which one possibility is divorce if Severus so wishes. Le sigh. Such a loveable but difficult couple! They wouldn't be nearly as interesting if they weren't so complicated and their relationship so full of misunderstandings... But yes, I think that's exactly what Harry was trying to do. Too bad, he's not so good at breaking the news gently... delia cerrano: DIVRCE!!! Noo say it's not true!! I feel so bad for Severus caring for Harry and having Harry always be just barely out of reach. Never saying anything straight out...and now that he was just getting his life in order he throws this at him. And always that ex of Harry's, Colin in the background. So I'm sorry but did Harry have sex with Lucius or not. How come now it's okay for them to get a divorce. Harry sure made it seem as if he wanted the divorce and Colin wanted him to get it. I sure hope you're going to update soon because I'm weeping and wailing over here. My poor Severus just can't get a break...can't find someone who will care for him and want him and not think he's an ugly, old, poor, nobody left over from the war who should be in Azkaban. Actually, Colin is just Harry's PR-manager and Oliver Wood is his ex-boyfriend, and I don't think either of them has any say in that issue. And no, Harry didn't sleep with Lucius because he realised that it wasn't Severus. And it would be okay for them to get a divorce because Harry saved Lucius' life and thus paid off the life debt... And yes, I'm updating soon, so I hope you'll like the next chapter and that it's not quite as confusing... BAFan: Ch. 16 Wow. My head is spinning. What a fantastic chapter! Loved the crossword puzzle. It seems that this story is winding down, which makes me really sad. Can't wait for the next chapter. Thank you! I never said it was 5 years after the war, it's just about 5 years since Harry left school (I took some liberties with canon and "my" war ended differently and most of all later than in the books). So according to my calculations it's about one year after the war, in which time there were the trials and the awarding of Orders of Merlin). Assuming that Hogwarts was closed for at least some time during the war and then needed time to be rebuilt, this year will see the reopening of Hogwarts... And no, Severus just moved out from his quarters to move in with Harry. He didn't give up his teaching position. (And in case you were wondering what Severus was still doing in Hogwarts when the school was closed, I'd say he was under house arrest until his name was cleared.) Sorry for confusing you and I hope this long reply or the confusion didn't put you off of this story... awww! i'm really enjoying this story, as others have said, a unique little twist on the format and i'm dying to know about harry's secrets right along with sev lol, though it does look like harry's starting to let a little more of himself become visible to his husband at least. keep up the great work, i'm really looking forward to more of this Thank you! I love Harry/Snape stories but I don't care for Sirius. He seems a spoiled mean overgrown child. Once I started I kept wondering why Sirius kept sticking his nose in so much. While I'm still not a Sirius fan I loved your Harry so much (though an elf and wings? really?) that even Sirius was making me feel for him in his drive to keep Harry. So... I tricked you into reading a story with a pairing you don't really care for? Wow, I'm good . I'm glad you enjoyed Harry and that the story wasn't too horrible for you, though I guess it must have been a bit of a letdown when you realised the pairing... Winter and Ice Jburks: I loved it. I waited to review until the end. I stumbled upon this story on another author's profile page. They had recommended this as a dray/luc/harry story and I was intrigued. I hadn't read one of those before. (Now a story that mentioned dray/luc or Fred/George is normal for me to see, but it seems quite a few either are all for or completely against the incest. Now this though made sure that they weren't incestuous. Quite a breath of fresh air. Not that I mind the incestuous ones because honestly anyone who thinks Fred & George hadn't at least kissed because they wanted to see what kissing themselves would be like, is just a little crazy in my mind.) I feel like I've been through the emotional wringer with the two days it took me to read this. Absolutely amazing. I must say I feel like I agree with Nightmare about making sure no one hurts Harry ever again. It's just wrong! Wrong on so many levels!!! Thank you for writing and sharing this delightful story. Even though it truly wasn't always delightful in sense of the actual events, it was well written and I enjoyed the emotions that were wrung out of me. Thank you! Seriously I would've been impressed, and even taking Severus' refusal to pay him any appreciation, he could've mentally been impressed. This is a really hard-ass Severus, and it's an eye opener; also different then what most make him and it twists my brain. I'm enjoying it, and I wonder if this hard-ass Severus is difficult for you to write and/or stick to? Also, what does Harry do? Is he an Unspeakable? What else is there that would be so secretive? With the way he handles his magic, I would almost think something that handles the study of magic, how it flows and ties together to form spells, and it's various complexities. Thought people didn't realize how good & loving Tom was to be so understanding of lack of sex, not telling Tom much then blaming him for mistakes, and leaving Tom alone while Harry slept with/cuddled with everyone & his brother of his "friends" like poor Tom didn't need someone or wasn't as important. In the Red - Steps 1-3 kit:This is good! Different twist than the other stories about Snape and Harry developing a relationship. The character portrayals are really spot on, to me. Snape is still a grumpy, pessimistic, antisocial man while harry is similar to himself as well except it is a grown up version. I really hope you update soon. I'm curious to see the manner in which snape will accept the marriage 'proposal'. Thank you! I'm glad you like how I portrayed these two. I wanted to write about a more mature Harry, one who learned from the war, but wasn't left broken. And Severus, what can I say about Severus? I hope he never changes delia cerrano: Excellent! Really excellent...well written, makes decent sense. Looking forward to at least another chapter tomorrow. Tonight would be alright. Can't wait for Snape telling him yes, Lucius finding out he's been out foxed, the bonding, interaction with Mione & Ron ect, and most of all life with Harry! Severus will live as comfortable life as he wishes since Harry is very wealthy but neither he nor Harry seem to care for fancy just good quality. Woo hoo the honeymoon! Maybe they could then be allowed to go back to the pack for every full moon (through a portal)?... That's what I've imagined anyway, but whatever you decide is fine.
