    Spellbound

I was randomly checking into my stories on AFF.net, when I came across something interesting. I realize it has been a good long while since I have been here and even longer since I posted anything, but I was caught up in the writing of my second novel that is to be published later in the fall of this year. While going through my stories here, I was caught by the disclaimer and I couldn't help but smirk. Every single one of the disclaimers had been changed. They now all read that I did not own the rights to the series or the characters involved in the series. I wondered if maybe this was just something that was done during the change over, or something that had been manually done by the maintainers of AFF.net. Either way I was amused . Spellbound- the novel series is indeed mine The first book, Spellbound: Dawn of Destiny was written by me- LadyPhoenix99- AKA Angela Baker- and the cover was designed by a close friend- Jessica Segaard. The series itself was to be published as a Young Adult series. Unfortunately, there were events that took place in the book that would have carried it straight into the Adult category- something I had debated doing anyway, actually. However, in order for it to be published as a Young Adult, I had to edit out several scenes so I was using AFF.net as a place to post them- as well as spin off scenes that really had nothing to do with the series, but was interesting to toy with. Because of the fact that Spellbound was indeed a real published series, I was granted a category for it to place the deleted scenes. I understand that the disclaimers have to be so. Like I said, I am not bothered by it . I guess I just wanted to make note of it as I did make an attempt to change the disclaimer just to see how long it took before it was changed back lol. Yes, the real author of Spellbound is here on this site and roaming around lol
  2. I might have missed a few things in my time on the site, but I honestly had no idea what was going on when I first saw the notice on the yahoo group. I was under the impression that those doing the main, tedious work on the site were the ones who owned it. I agree that this is entirely more complex than property of a bike. Money is in question on top of everything else. There are a lot of unanswered questions and confused and hurt feelings out of this. All most of us know is that DA worked her rear end off to turn the site around and make it as it was before she left which made the site easier to work with. Being left to manage a site like this for that long... I guess I assumed those for mods were the owners of the site. Not by what someone claims they may or may not have said, but solely because of their dedication. To be honest... I am just as lost as a lot of others and am waiting to hear just what exactly the final word in all of this is.
