  1. I joined this forum not too long ago but I have yet to introduce myself, anyway I'm Kyouryoku Senshi! I love to write fanfiction and create music videos. My areas of interest are Sailor Moon and X-Files. tongue.gif I usually write about Haruka/Michiru from Sailor Moon and Mulder/Scully, Doggett/Reyes from X-Files. I am currently working on a crossover between the two series. biggrin.gif

  2. I don't know if any of you have seen this, but I recently read a Sailor Moon fanfic and the names were so horribly misspelled that it's hard to continue reading them. The author misspelled two character's names throughout the entire thirteen chapter story. The question is, how can you write fanfic when you do not know how to spell the character's names or bother to look them up? If you are not sure of a name, at least go and look it up before writing a story. Anyone else notice this?

  3. Everything you do is colored by a shade of gray - there's no escaping that. White (good) and Black (evil) are the smallest parts of the action color spectrum. There is very little in life that can be 100% good or 100% evil. Even Satan has a little good in him... at least from some points of views (if you even believe in him that is).

Exactly. I live by the theory, 'Nothing is ever just black and white.' Sometimes there are shades of grey that cannot simply be defined by one thing or another.

  4. I usually create fanfics in the third person. I've read fanfics in the first person and they boggle my mind. I don't like it when it is used mainly during dialoge because it switches off from one person to another and I can never tell who is speaking! I usually prefer to write sci-fi, fantasy or romance...or a combination. I mainly like to write about romance between different anime or tv show characters.

  5. I don't believe that it's within our right to prevent people from writing fanfiction, only to prevent them from profiting from such works.

I pretty much agree with this sentiment. As long as it's for the personal enjoyment of the fans and no profit is being made from it then, I'd say it's fine. tongue.gif
