Aww, thank you, guys and girls. It's nice to know that people still respect their elders these days I had a good time, got completely plastered and skipped taking my geriatric pills that day, hehe! You won't see much of me at the forums; working on the original piece and don't have much time left to hang out.

I noticed that my inventory is out for everybody to see. It must be a new thing since yesterday because I didn't see it before. I can go and see everyone's inventories whoever posted in any topics. Would it be possible to not have it showing or to be able to opt out?

Thank you for reimbursing my points

I did get the PMs. I just didn't check them because of misleading fuchsia error message. Sorry if my post wasn't clear

I think I know what the problem is. When I used the large surprise box, it flashed the message that password has been sent, wait while we transfer you. The next thing that came up said this: Board Message Sorry, an error occurred. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information. The error returned was: That message does not exist This is why I thought that the thing didn't work. As of now I have tested three boxes (2500 poins each) and got three identical results: password to the mystery forum. I already knew the password, so it was points waisted. Need to add some variety to the box when you'll get to it

I checked the bank account out and found my points in the bank. I had to pay 100 points to open a bank account, but it's not a big deal. One thing I noticed was that it doesn't tell how many % my money accumulate in the bank. So, the points are there I still don't know why the large mystery box I bought didn't work.

I tried it out and bought a large gift box and a magic marker. They appeared in my inventory with name, description and all. I used a gift box and it didn't let me. Now it's gone from my inventory. Do I get a refund? Oh, also, I can't see my bank account. I had a ton of points there, but now it's asking for 100 naughty points to open one. I didn't open a new one because my old points won't be there, most likely.

I used to be #10 on Overall Top 20 Posters list and now I am #6 At least I moved up.

I just noticed a change in my number of posts. It used to be 1169, if I remember correctly. Now it's 1101. I am 68 posts short. Where did they go?

I saw Purchase Paid Subscriptions in my Control Panel. Is that a part of new add-ons and what are we going to be able to purchase?

Well, you only joined AFF two days ago and posted about 1200 words. There is nothing in you bio which would help me to find any of your work, which is probably posted elsewhere. But you did get 8 reviews on two small chapters, which is a reson to celebrate, not to complain.

As long as " truth and facts and integrity" are not compromised...
-
I am going to make a prediction that after graduating and getting a job in the field, the DEADLINES will be the most important things, not facts and integrity. There will be some time to do the research, but it will be limited and life will be hectic with juggling the job and family at the same time. I've read some professional articles which mentioned fanfiction which left impression that authors just "winged it" without any kind of deep understanding. It seems to be a hot topic these days. I am afraid that professors at school may be presenting a more Idealistic side of this stressful job to their young students than it really is.

The name J.K. Rowling sounds faintly familiar... I would not publish with religion promoting publishers of any kind. However, if a Harlequin type of publisher asked for it, I would make Hogwarts into a sex-slave training school, dress Harry and Draco into tight leather skirts and make Voldy into a pirate, obsessed with world domination :DDD

MY OPINION, rayne, is that this looks like an assignment for homework. I can almost bet that you are a some sort of writing student. The poll supporting this thread mentions "real writers". There is nothing wrong with learning to write professionally and to pay your bills that way. Not all people have interest to make writing into a paid gig, though. The beauty of fanfiction is that it is written purely out of passion and is an extension of human imagination. If I HAD to put out 10000 words weekly in order to feed my family and to have a roof over my head, then writing just wouldn't be fun anymore. As a fanfic writer (admittedly unprofessional and not very good) I can write WHATEVER I WANT, WHENEVER I FEEL LIKE. Pro-writing and fanfic-writing are two very different things. I know that some people here are writing students and would like to know if fanfiction is even mentioned during lectures. Is it a part of curriculum in any way? Do professors talk about it? What is their overall attitude towards fanfiction?
-
I find this poll mildly insulting to fanfic writers. ^could be betaed. It could be helpful to poll voters if you provided your definition of "real writers" and listed criteria to qualify as such.

Why are you interested in fanfic writers?

Momma always said, sillybugger was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get. - Forrest Gump

I love the smell of sillybugger in the morning. It smells like victory. - Apocalypse Now

"All work and no sillybugger makes Jack a dull boy." - The Shining

Something To Talk About has the same problem. Both fics have more than 500 reviews, maybe that has something to do with it.

Is that information on myspace current? It said: 15 years old, but do we know for a fact if this person hadn't had that message posted for 3 years? I never had a myspace account, so not sure how they operate.

Making it as simple as possible really is a good idea. I'll be happy for as long as the Fan Fiction Forum fits into the single screen without scrolling up and down, hehe.

Thank you! Yep, I imagined that categories in the Fan Fiction Forum would look exactly like AFF Central Index, although wasn't sure if Main Anime Archives would be a single entry with subforums or not. I mean, it's 22 total if it doesn't.
