  1. Today shall be my first day of work as a CNA! I don't count the orientation day because that was just watching a few videos and filling out a bit of paperwork. Anyhow, I'm very over the moon to start in a few hours. It's an eight hour shift, from 2PM to 10PM. I can hardly wait to start getting to know the residents and my coworkers.

      Congratulations!  Hopefully, your first day went well.  Almost everyone I’ve met who has gone into nursing “working their own way” has started out as a CNA.  The “trick” is to keep up your studies to work up to LPN, RN, and so on without burning out.  The clinical experience you gain will help you become a better nurse as time goes on.

      @Wilde_Guess

      I don't plan on going on to LPN or RN. I'm just going for PCT so my mum isn't on my ass about having a career that pays well. I plan on moving out of state far away from my current residence as soon as I'm done with phlebotomy this semester and EKG next semester so that I have the PCT completed to make things smoother when parting ways with her. I do want to maintain a decent if not good relationship with her. I just have to get a job near my intended location to move to once I've got PCT so that I have a steady income while finishing my books(at least one of them) and other plans I have.

      You didn't get that from my last comment? XD Thanks, Des. It really did. Haha~
