Since you want it to be post-war Harry Potter, your plot could stem from having prominent Slytherin/Gryffindor members working together to break down the intolerances that lead to the DL rising. Another question would be if you want them to do a sort of return year to finish school, or are they meeting out in the wizarding world some years down the road? I hope this helped!
