My thought is to start a new thread in the Forum Orgy section to make it easier for everyone to find.  Call it something like “Orgy ideas”, or something similar.

YAYAYAY, should we do it here or open a thread and ask everyone? I love fantasy-themed RPs, because that’s totally in my wheelhouse, but I’m down for more grounded settings too. A sexy fantasy guild might be fun, we could have elves and mages and stuff. I’m envisioning a bawdy tavern setting… Sci-fi could be good too! Setting could be an intergalactic star cruiser: think Mass Effect. Can you tell I’m excited? I’m excited.

We can do a themed RP, absolutely!  Let’s brainstorm a few ideas!

I still owe our orgymaster, the ever-delightful foeofthelance, a post, but my co-conspirator seems to have vanished. If anyone sees Kelk, poke him for me?

Who knows, maybe it’ll make a comeback one day if enough people show interest.  As it is, you’re about the only one that’s shown interest. lol  I do like the idea of it though.

I guess the regulars became burnt out on it and not enough new people were joining to make it viable to keep going.  It’s the sort of thing where you probably need a number of people for it to be truly interesting.

That’s good advice. I might push the limits a little, when emotions run high and ugly situations bring out ugly in people. But this character’s racism will be coming from an obvious place of fear and ignorance. If it shows up at all. These little fuckers have been crafty at evading my attempts to throw in conflict so far, but I’ll get em! *shakes fist*
    Thanks guys!

I’m with B Dubz on this one ^ And actually, as a WOC myself, I find it hard to hate racist characters. I usually just feel sorry for them  Now, unless he’s literally committing hate crimes, I think you can toe the line if the racism is stemming from an aspect of his character, like his upbringing or maybe deep-seated insecurities. People are never going to like his racism, but they be able to sympathize and/or root for him to get better. Unless it’s very casual racism, which I think can slide for the sake of the story.

Keep it within what is seen as socially expected. Even in a very cosmopolitan city like NY, there are underlying currents I overhear all the time. “I go to the Jewish baker for my bread because those people make wonderful bread.” “I sort of miss the old hot dog carts. They were better than all these halal (wildly mispronounced) carts.” “She’s very pretty for someone with mixed heritage.”
It might never be acceptable, but we’re never quite surprised to encounter it, either. I think that’s the line….

@Desiderius Price Interesting… Like I said, I really don’t want to leave Google Drive but I do have Word. Maybe downloading and copy+pasting from there will help?

It’s weird. My formatting copies over from other online rich text editors just, but not from any proper word processors I’ve tried (online or otherwise). So if I’m posting on another site, I usually post there first so I can copy from the other sites rte to get the formatting to carry over. But I usually only post on AFF so I end up going over everything in the RTE here to make sure all the italics are italic and then checking the actual fic in the browser a million times to make sure everything looks how I want it to look. And every time I do that quality check, I still manage to find a typo lol. So yes, I feel your pain!

I have to edit the formatting after c&p from Google Docs to the manager so italics and such don't get sifted out by the stupid "Paste as Normal Text" tool that is the only way the manager allows me to paste what I need to. That's the only negative for me. I just zoom in if the text is too small(usually when I'm not wearing either my glasses or contacts).

    @CloverReef
I was always best in class for spelling & vocab & grammar. Grammar is life for me, and you can't have decent, good, or amazing grammar without spelling and word meanings involved. Spelling is important because just one letter difference can change the entire word, eg spite vs spit. And if the word is different, then that also changes the meaning, which can come off pretty awkward if the wrong word is used simply because of a one letter difference. :3 My obsession gives me the upper hand in such cases.
It wasn't hard at all. If I'd had two more minutes extra to study right before the test, I'd have made 100% on the terminology part, but I missed three words out of the fifty I had to remember for it. That's still a passing grade, though, and really awesome. ^~^/

I just go into the story manager for mine to check for typos and such. It keeps from adding to the DP count as well as allows me to fix any little err on the spot rather than having to refind it later.

XD I've never failed a test involving words and their meanings. That's actually the easy part for me.

    Thanks, everyone!

I try to avoid clicking into my stories, I don’t want to disturb the counts!  (On occasion, if I suspect something’s wrong, I’ll check it as the reader will see.)
