  1. Okay, so, I spent most of today at work doing (what else) not work, but doodling and writing. XD Section three of Friendly Faces (we'll call this one Asking for Herbs) has been mostly typed up. I'm going on to do Mercutio's warmups and training next, most of which had already been written when I was working on In Fair Verona (for anyone who has been reading that, yes, that will continue. Eventually.)
  2. Awwwwww.... Would Rory be allowed to hug her? *no, I'm not writing this and squeeing...*
  3. I want to know if she would demand payment for retrieving the ball. XD Yes, you probably should. It's not on AFF, remember that. *giggles* not completed yet. Did I post part II of the dinner? *goes to check*
  4. Perhaps make it a promise that in time, she will be unbound? (I keep thinking about little Rory accidentally dropping a ball in the lake and asking Miss Scary Powerful Lake Lady to please give it back... Oh, wait, spoilers...)
  5. Btw, Escalus is still not quite comfortable with the idea of her cutting into him. (To tell the truth, he's not particularly keen on anyone cutting into him, but he has to have the baby somehow) I think Yaretzi needs to come in at some point... JUST because she's awesome and remembering Escalus in the water makes me grin.
  6. That's because I only took a day to write the Spider Incident (and managed to get them to the woods like we've been talking about for the last five parts?). Teehee! I think other than Tenoch being... well, Tenoch, I didn't need much, other than the obvious ones... and, ya know, loudly announcing the sex of the baby before Escalus can tell her that he wanted it to be a surprise... XD
  7. THe next section, affectionately called "Friendly Faces" will have parts from myself and Athena, broken up between us, as each of us has different parts that we want to do, and so it's going to be a bit of a long one. The first part, the "Spider Incident" is finished, and will be soon followed by Athena's part with The Old Grandmother. We decided also we wanted to give some insight to the creative process, and so we're going to be using this thread for the bit of discussion between the parts. If you have questions as well, feel free to ask them, we'll answer!
  8. Thanks for the review, Miki! Good to see we have returning readers! *thumbs up* I'm in the middle of what is now affectionately called "The Spider Incident". I promise,t he spider only makes an appearance once, but it's enough to remind Mercutio why he doesn't particularly care for sleeping out of doors.
  9. Haven't yet mastered the art of copy/paste.

  10. Because This Is My Forest is a completely different monster from The Odd Couple... I got a notice about my review replies and author's notes being in violation, so (le sigh), I'm going to try to move them all here. (Try being the operative word) Author's note (from Part One): Hello! For those who joined us back in June/July, yes, this is the same This Is My Forest that I had taken down for reasons that irked myself and my cohort. I will only post This Is My Forest, up until the most recent chapter. I want to get an idea for how well this is going beyong my suddenly small readership on Multiply. So, please, feel free to read and review, and I will keep posting. (From Part Seven): ************************************************************ This is where The Lord and The Lady starts to blend with In Fair Verona. This happens, actually, in The Lord and The Lady and In Fair Verona, when Cassandra and Pharony seek out Escalus' help with certain delicate matters, and Escalus gets their help with his own problems, so I didn't jump out of canon with them. Pharony is strange like this, a little eccentric and is bored with travelers stumbling through the Petrified Forest. (From Part Eleven): *********************************** Author's Note: I spent a lot of time waffling between this scene, whether Escalus would be there in time before Tybalt would... ya know... or if he'd get there after and just kick Tybalt's sorry hide to Kingdom come. I also kind of waffled a bit on this entire mechanic of Voltaire and Tybalt, because of my characters, I still manage to see Voltaire as being this little boy, so it makes for some really interesting mental images that I didn't want to think about. (From Part Seventeen): Review Replies! Oh wow, it's been a while since I've gotten to do these. Anu: Well, I consider there to be 4 main characters, Escalus, Tlaloc, Cassandra, and Izpapalotl. If it makes you feel better, I will give this much away: I didn't kill Escalus and Tlaloc. I promised Athena (Caro Kellenberger, the author of The Golden Path and owner of the characters from it) that I wouldn't. So I didn't. =D Author's note: I wanted to do zombie Wonderland of sorts. soooooooo yeah. (From Part Eighteen, which is actually a chapter now, thanks for whoever noticed it but didn't actually tell me that I hadn't posted it...): Author's Note: We're nearing the end, and most of that is complete. We have plenty still to do before we can get there, and the rest may seem a bit rough-and-tumble, but this must get done... *sighs* I can't wait... So... close to the end, I can almost taste it... Review Replies: Merely Truth: Escalus is inspired by the Prince Escalus from William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet (though this rendition is completely mine), and Tlaloc is owned by Athena Genesis (aka Caro Kellenberger, who wrote The Golden Path which I drew the cover for). I hope this section helps to shed some more light on Escalus at least. Cassandra is also one of mine, from The Lord and the Lady (which needs to be finished, I'm ashamed to admit).
  11. Some days, I just feel like I can't post anything without violating some rule... All review replies are being moved here, as well as further discussion. I (being me) will also try to clue you guys in on some of the creative process that is The Odd Couple. Full Disclaimer: This is a round-robin type story, between Athena Genesis and myself, and is posted here with her permission. It contains characters that belong to her from The Golden Path and The Unraveling; as well as characters of mine from In Fair Verona and The Archangel in the Aviary. This is a work of fiction, in part inspired by William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. Any resemblance of characters to actual persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental. Unauthorized duplication is prohibited. Neither Athena Genesis nor I make any money from this story. Full Summary: Atl is a black alpha wolf, leader of the Reed Pack, and best friend to Tlaloc. After his return to the woods and helping to save the realm from the terrible grasp of Itzpapalotl, Atl and Tlaloc begin to realize that all is not well with the black wolf. Having survived the loss of his lifemate, Atl was holding on for his friend’s sake, and is slowly losing that will to go on once more. Tlaloc isn’t sure what can be done, but he knows he must do something—he can’t just let his oldest and most trusted friend die.High Prince Escalus finds himself in a similar bind when he finds Mercutio collapsed in the hallway—and learns this isn’t the first time recently that this has happened. As High Prince over all of Verona, it is supposed to be his job to ensure that the Seelie King does not put his throne in danger—as his friend, it is his duty to make sure Mercutio is all right. Normally, he would have stepped up and helped his friend, but now, he was bound to Tlaloc, and Mercutio refuses to put his friend in that kind of situation just to save himself. And so Lord Mercutio made a proposal to Atl. Be bound to me, and we’ll both survive. Only temporary, of course, until another solution can be found. Of course, certain details weren’t elaborated to the wolf—or to the Fae, for that matter—before hilarity, insanity, and chaos descended upon the pair. Enjoy The Odd Couple! Review Replies (from Meet the Parents II): Aninhas: Thank you! Mercutio is so much fun to write, and playing opposite of Atl is the most fun I've ever had writing. We'll have to see where this goes--this will be a long one, and there is a followup after, The Lord of Spring, but that won't be on here until The Odd Couple is done. For anyone still reading, we want to know. Would you like to see M win his first fight, or lose one or two? I want some input. Author's Note (From The Talk): ((We did this conversation twice, and I like how it came out this time, kind of as a combination of the two. This is a bit shorter, sorry for that, though I just went for a week with no internet—GAAAAH! I was going nuts! And for anyone still reading, this was originally a joke, because we determined that Atl suffers from IMS, irritable male syndrome, which is an actual thing, and one of the symptoms is, you guessed it, trouble getting it up. Pair that with a lust fae, and you get this comedy of errors.)) ((Starving: The one thing funnier than giving a wolf ED: priapism.)) Review Replies! I’m letting Mercutio answer them today! =D Miki-- M: Oh, yes, because everyone loves a desperate Fae... And I agree, there needs to be more hitting the wolf! And I’m sure Gilda would love to. *grins* Naraka00— M: Well, I’ve been informed, sadly, that I will not be able to fight Gilda, because I will be fighting with the other Omegas to earn a mark—excitingly enough, I’m actually going to get one! Hah! As far as the angry ex, besides Gilda, I don’t know if there’s plans for me to run into any others soon... *makes a face* CandyCoatedCyanide— M: I know, right? He just makes me wanna... mmm... I do that anyway, though... *chuckles* And I won’t be using spells in the fight. Why? Because I only know a few, and they’re all mostly useful only in, say, the bedroom? Emz— M: Awww, thanks! I really want to win it too, and not just because I don’t do well with losing—just ask Tybalt. Author's Note (From Dinner and a Show I): Author’s note: This section was all Athena. Well, I did have to help a bit with the talk with Atl, and I made Gregory up on the spot. Review Replies: Miki: Actually, we looked. All of the scenes were results of him being drunk (on Fae wine), or being emotionally wound up first—angry, jealous, etc. Jealoussecks was SO MUCH FUN. Errr... you’ll all get to read that next time.
  12. So, basically, I need someone who can go through the story to help me fix/find errors and for general editing, as well as making sure the story flows well. The story was started for giggles, and I want to make sure it's actually doing okay. The main story that I need it for is This Is My Forest, known affectionately among my friends as the Collaboration That Never Ends. It will blend into two Side-stories, The Odd Couple and The Lord of Spring, and will probably trickle back into In Fair Verona, which is my original story. This Is My Forest circles around, yes, a gay fantasy couple, a faun and a panther, who have to work together to fix a forest that is being overrun by a dark goddess, who seeks to make this realm her own. With the help of a human that's a bit special and a Phantom that live in a rundown Opera House, will they be able to find the forest and save the Lors of the Wood, or will they be too late? The story includes, and is not limited to, a couple of non-consenual scenes, gay sex, the Seelie and Unseelie Courts, Archangels, necromancy, romance, angst, and all of the joys of the Capulets versus the Montagues. The story is a collaboration of sorts. it began as a writing challenge between a writer-friend and myself, to take the same situation, start with the same characters and run with it. This one-shot is now over 100 pages long, and still going. It is based from The Golden Path by Caro Kellenberger and In Fair Verona and The Lord and Lady by me. In Fair Verona hasn't progressed past this stage, I was just starting when we started this collaboration six months ago... You can email me at abomination.and.creator [at] gmail [dot] com, or PM me here, I guess. The more the merrier. And if you like how it goes, we can see about the others.
