Uni provides epson expression XL scanner for student use, free of charge and on a self serve basis. 18 years of drawing has culminated in this moment and thank goodness it did, I don't think my battered ego could take publishing another crappy photo of my art. Time to make a deviantart account.

Pfft! good luck getting onto them without being seen, there's a window right next to the scanners! They would have much better luck with the copiers in the photocopy room. There's no windows there. And who the hell is drunk by 6pm anyway?

Now I remember why I never wanted a deviantart. I was excited to use an art forum to exchange ideas and feedback and what did I get? A bunch of elitist trolls who calls anyone who follows the etiquette rules a "n00b", throw foul insults at anyone who asks them to be polite and generally stomp all over anyone trying to have an honest to god discussion. There were good people buried under there somewhere I'm sure, but heavens above! Does that place not even have moderators?

If they do have moderators, it's not generally evident. Seriously, it's not a place for anyone who cares about art more than popularity and group think.

They have them. One girl raised a stink about another girl stealing her art, when they didn't even look the same and were clearly different. Then her and a bunch of other people bullied the poor girl, so the mods made HER remove her work, instead of doing something about the bullies and lying bitch who accused her in the first place. So yes, they exist. They just suck.

I have to draw 65 self portraits for my course. Sixty Five. I've only drawn 15 of them and I'm already sick of my face.

The main idea is to experiment in medium and style, so I might give that a go. We are allowed to break things up with 5 sculptures, 5 digital pieces and 5 photos. I'm thinking of making a model of a brain from sculpy, sticking it into a jar of vinegar and labeling it Homo Aspergers or something like that.

I can't believe I've been working on off on this chapter since may! And I started this story two years ago! Why can I never get anything done at a reasonable pace? Seriously, I write a lump of 7000 words in a sitting, but in five months I can't write a thing that actually moves the story forward. I have got to make a schedule or something or I'll never get anything done.

It might help you to write non-chronologically and focus on some scenes you already know will come first, then work on the parts connecting those scenes second. Sometimes helps me.

Worth a go! It would definitely be more productive than just doing nothing, even if the scenes end up daisy chained together.

I promised myself I wouldn't go back and rewrite things until the fic was finished over all, but everytime I look at the first chap of MBWLAYWGS it keeps getting worse and worse. I don't think I can resist the compulsion. Must... Nitpick... GAH! I'm never going to get anything finished at this rate.

Urgh. Finally got my mid semester assignments done. Now I've only got a tonne more which are harder, and the uni in their infinite wisdom decided to put the mid semester break back in week four before we even got the assignments, so no break for me this term :/ Of course now the creative gods decided to throw me a little inspiration for MBWLAYWGS. I think I'm gonna be up all night writing this down, if I can coax it out of my head that is.

I can't believe that at the roipe old age of 18 I forked over cash for sea monkeys. DEAD sea monkeys. At least Darling is happy.

Finally got my new aquarium set up! Mum seems impressed and Dad is begrudgingly realizing that the floor is not going to collapse and the circuit breaker is not going to burst into flame. I can't wait for my new plants to arrive in the mail.

The fish aren't here yet, and I have to work tomorrow, sigh. I've written *detailed* instructions on what to do and masking taped them to the top of the fishtank, along with the necessary equipment. Lets hope that Dad can actually be bothered to read and follow them.
