Chapter 3 reviews: Sweet Surrender: I DEFINITELY love getting criticism, particularly when the person its from also seems to care about reading and enjoying the story as opposed to just pointing out the flaws (versus those people that pop occassionally I swear just to nit-pick and probably because they don't like M/M couples.) I appreciate yours so much! And even more so that you've mentioned feeling that I've improved. Hopefully it is that and not just a case of me having my good days and my bad days, but hopefully this chapter will suggest an answer to that. I'm so happy you like Shane! Everyone seems to whenever I do an adaptation of these characters, he's pretty popular. Keeee it makes me happy because he's one of my favorites too. Jason's a little more, I don't know, definitely deeper than Shane I feel. Shane has his dynamics and depth but he does have a much simpler life and background. I hope I can bring more out of them and that you'll grow to love 'em both . As well as a few other main characters that appear in the futures. I seriously love these guys to pieces I'll take any excuse to talk about 'em. Lisa: "So...Jason reminds Tony of someone Shane knew way back when? Six years ago or so? Noah?" ;D That's all you get, a winky face. Interpret is as you wish ;D. Ahahaha I do usually shorten it to Lep or Lepid. Some people say Leps. Up to you, really . And happy late thanksgiving to you! <3. And omfg I will definitely look at her stuff thank you so much for telling me O_O. I love her reviews and criticism as much as I love yours and and that's extremely exciting to mekjhdjsahdjhagdsjha freaking out. Thank yooou for saying so D:. I haven't been poking around for reading in the writing world as much as I used to but now I'll definitely check hers out on your trusted reccommendation!

A younger guy in love with his older neighbor?
Lepidottero replied to Lepidottero's topic in Originals
Nope not that one... to clarify a little more, the neighbor was a grown man (at least like early twenties) while the MC was a teenager, probably 16-18. Again, it's unfinished. Also... it's been about two years since I've read it xD. It's extremely old and probably discontinued. -
So this was an unfinished story, and I don't believe any smut had happened yet. It was multi-chaptered and fucking beautiful and I don't really strongly remember most of it except I believe there was a bully at the kid's school? And I think something to do with the bully makes him have to go to the hospital. Oh and yeah the neighbor liked him back but neither of them knew the feeling was mutual. Also, it's a different story than "Breaking The Mirror" which I have read a thousand times but it's not the one I'm looking for. But the summary I put up there is a similar plot, so I thought I'd make it clear that it's a different one than that.

Chapter 1 Reviews: DSacrifice: Fffff thank you so much <3. And yes, ten years … I think it is hard to believe, but I would be happy to show you the very first pieces I did of them when I was eleven XD. They’re absolutely horrible, but I still have them in a box in the closet. These guys are my babies. My freaking babies. I’m so happy you enjoyed it and I hope you continue to! And yeah, everything else I have posted is pretty old. I should delete them at some point, if I don’t end up too lazy. Plus Made of Glass is full of spoilers for this story. Well shit. Anyway, thanks so much <3. I loved receiving your review! (twas the first one I got, teehee.) SweetSurrender: I know right? D:… when I first saw that someone rated it so low my heart sunk into the depths of the deepest abyss. I was like “WAT?” But I mean, looking back, yeah, the first few paragraphs and the intro in general are kind of awkward. I’ll have to edit those at some point, definitely in the touching up if not before then. I remember upon writing it I thought I was being oh-so-clever (not so much with the hair color, but with the coke thing) but looking back I see your point. I think at the time of writing this I’d been listening to waaaay too much of the Welcome To Night Vale podcast, and in that people are described in obscure ways (IE: The man who was not tall and the man who was not short.) Anyway, I appreciate the criticism, and I hope the next few chapters avoid this problem ! And of course, I hope you continue to read and enjoy. Lisa: GRAH. I hate AFF for that. Do you understand? I am very upset that it ate your review. I totally wanted that review. But I definitely appreciate so much that you re-wrote one for me despite it having eaten all your hard work. Even just a reader’s digest version xD. Hahaha, like I told SweetSurrender, I thought I was being uber witty with that at the time. But now I realize it’s wordy and awkward, oops. Thanks for pointing that out again, though <3. Rare are the reviews where I actually get constructive criticism these days. ROFL JENSEN ACKLES WAT. I’m not a fan of supernatural but it IS all over my tumblr dashboard all the time because I mean… it’s tumblr. So actually he probably did play a huge part in me having chosen that name. But this Jensen is kind of an asshole (and very minor, one of the few who I tossed in only recently for this adaptation of the story) so I’m not sure you’d want to associate him with the one who plays Dean. ANYWAYS. YES. That was me. Omfg. I remember you too, by the way. I did as soon as I saw your name. It makes me so happy that you remember me just by a little piece of my name being there (and mayhaps my writing style? if it’s at all the same) I ran off to write some fanfiction for a while, but now I am ready to rejoin the world of original slash! Your welcome back is appreciated ! (and terrific dshgsajfgafjgdying of blushes) wolfluv Super glad you can dig it! DIG IT! DIG IT SUPER DEEP UNTIL YOU CANNOT ESCAPE. AHAHAHAHA… mine was cornier. <3. Anyway, thank you! Chapter 2 Reviews: BlueRiver: Thank you so much ! Please enjoy! Lisa: Fugitive and Suspicions BOTH have a decent chance of getting re-writes sometime in the future. Probably not until after I've finsihed In Circles, because I'm trying to force myself to finish things and be responsible before trying to tackle something else. "A Fugitive and Me" (that was always the whole title, though I did always call it "Fugitive" xD...) especially is on my to-do-list, as it is actually a story that has been with me since I was in fourth grade (the characters weren't gay back then) and I've done about 5 or 6 re-write attempts so far since then. Basically, I'm really trying to finish all the things I started ages ago, even if it means starting all over again. Suspicions is kind of on the fence (Also, if I do re-write it, the new title is "Turning Tides") because it's a relatively new plot and new characters. (General related note for anyone who read Love's Limits, which was actually my most frequently read story from back then, I will not be re-writing or updating it. The interest of the general idea for that story is lost on me now.) And LOL I was Lepidottero (I changed the Tero to Zoro because One Piece) and SuperCheesepuff ;D. I am so fucking flattered by how well you remember me though like omfg. "Why is Mike such an a-hole? Nah, I don't really care about that answer!" AW! But that was my favorite question! ...Even though I don't actually know the answer. The guy is totally a plot device. I regret nothing. AND YUP. Jason is short. Actually there are a lot of secret physical attributes to these characters ahahaha... only because I don't normally spend a lot of time describing appearance. Oops. Later I'll probably shit all over your visions of them by casually mentioning things about how they actually look. Oops. He's like 5'5 though, not TOO short, but short for a guy, you could say. AND I DON'T KNOW! IS THE PRINCIPAL DOING THAT? IS HE? ;D.... We shall see <3. I adore your reviews and I hope you continue to like this story omfg ;o;. SweetSurrender: Hrmmm... you might be right about the "too mature" thing... Tony's actually a pretty smart guy (even though he was totally a drunken moron in the first chapter) but at the same time, that line doesn't sound casual enough for a highschooler, you're right. I was never that socially active in High School so it's annoyingly hard to grasp how these sorts of people actually talk. I'll probably go back and read this chapter now, and notice a lot of other 'too proper' dialogue. Definitely something to think about in later chapters and during the edits. Thank you! (Shane is my absolute /baby./ He was the first character I ever introduced to myself out of this group, so I guess you could say I put a lot of thought into everything he does. So it's so fucking nice to hear that he comes across the way I want him to <3. Thank you!) The perspective thing is hard to grasp when I'm re-reading my own stuff, but I think I get what you're talking about. I'll definitely try to avoid that in the future. And thank you so so much <3. I love getting criticism, especially on specific bits, so please feel free to conitnue that. I hope I can improve and I hope you continue to enjoy this! wolfluv Ahaahaha! THAT IS SO ACCURATE ACTUALLY. "Everyone has a secret past life except Shane." Totally true story even before it's revealed. Thank you for reviewing!

So um, hi. Author: LepidotzoroTheIntern Title: In Circles Summary: Not knowing where you're going and just wishing you could get somewhere, but always being lead in circles. Jason chose to stop being lead, and ended up drawing his own circle. But it always seems to intersect with the same person. Feedback: I like constructive criticism a LOT. Please be honest about what you think, I promise I'm not the type to get pissy about it. I like reviews that are full of praise, but I also really like when people point out problems and give negative opinions. Fandom: Original Pairing: Multiple Warnings: M/M, anal, oral, non-con that isn't romancized in later chapters. Solo story or chaptered story: Chaptered. URL: http://original.adult-fanfiction.org/story.php?no=600106676 I also want to use this thread to reply to reviews. Hopefully I am allowed to do that.

Etsel: http://original.adult-fanfiction.org/story.php?no=600104327 Summary I set off alone just a few weeks after my eighteenth birthday without telling a soul where or why I was leaving. I was ready for the worst, to set myself up against the largest of threats and overcome them. But the last thing I expected was drama among the companions I'd picked up along the way. And I'm wondering how I ended up in the middle of a cat fight between a genie and a sky pirate, neither of which fitting their common stereotypes. The best I can do is ignore their petty arguements and focus on the task at hand, and above all else, avoid falling in love. All right, so this is the first time I've done this but I hope I'm doing it right. I really appreciate the work and time some of my reviewers put into what they say, and of course I appreciate the time they take to read, so I thought this would be the best way to display that ^-^. Not to mention I just love reading replies from the author to my reviews so you know, golden rule and all that. Anyway, I only have two reviewers right now, but hopefully that number will increase and make this thread more worth while. First two replies: For GreenEliza: Thanks a ton . I'll definitely try not to take months to update, even weeks is pushing it in my opinion, but it's always nice to have someone who'll keep reading no matter how long it takes. That's the mark of a good reader, though of course, to gain good readers like that, you have to have a good story. So I'll try my best, and I'm glad you like the characters ^-^! They're kind of a new brand for me, especially Etsel, I don't normally write the more quiet, down-to-business type like he is. For Dazedandconfused: Aha good to hear the Etsel/Zebediah interaction amused you-- that's what I was going for, after all . I'm especially happy that you like Zeb, as he's one of my favorite characters--- if not my most favorite. He's got a lot up his sleeve, but I'm not giving anything away ;D. Thanks for the review and I'll try to get updates up within a reasonable amount of time!
-
It hasn't updated in almost a year, if I know how to count, but it can still be read here: http://www.fictionpress.com/~supercheesepuff I'll probably get around to re-posting it on AFF when I get a new chapter written.
-
Seems a little insensitive to the idea that a writer can be motivated to write more quickly and confidently when he/she receives feedback. I don't understand how it was being interpreted that way. I mean, I update when I finish a chapter, no matter what. Then again, yes, if I don't get any reviews after an update, I will likely be discouraged and in turn take longer to update, because it suggests my last update wasn't as good as the other things I've posted. But even if I do get that way, I'll still update IF I finish, there's just less of a chance that I'll finish because I'm a little put off by a story that no one likes enough to review. I guess you could say I feel like I'm generally better than that. So yes, my update frequency can be based on reviews, depending on whether I personally still care about the story or not. I'm a social motherfucker, other people liking what I write is what makes me care, and if they don't, I'll stop caring. That's what it means. I guess I'm a little peeved at being accused of doing something I find so shameful and idiotic, is all. But, you're the boss. Thanks for bringing it back.
-
Gah. I don't understand that. I think I made it pretty clear that I'm encouraging reviews because they motivate me and not holding anything hostage until I get them. But, I guess it's not that important. So yeah, I'll take it off.
-
Why was my story hidden? ...I can't even tell if it really was hidden or if it's just... not there for some freakish reason. It shows up to edit but it doesn't come up in my profile. I don't really get it. A few weeks ago I got a message that said I was 'Holding chapters hostage until I got reviews' and that if I didn't change this, the story would be hidden. Not only was I doing no such thing in the first place. (Trust me, I hate it just as much as the next guy. Authors are supposed to earn reviews by making readers unable to resist throwing feedback at them. Not force people to review if they want to read more.) But I changed the part that was most likely being interpreted that way so that there was no way it could be interpreted that way. So not only was I not holding anything hostage in the first place, I made the change I was asked to make. But the story has now been hidden. I don't understand this, and I'd love to be enlightened. I don't like to stick my nose out and cause issues like this, but... what can I do? I doubt this is the right board :X.

Ahaa! Thanks so much! As it turns out I did have an odd typo in my password. I don't know why the e-mails weren't sending but the one you did manually showed up fine, so thank you very, VERY much!~
-
Hrm... I'll keep trying that, for now then. Before that, I have a few password questions that a normal member may or may not know the answer to... 1. Are they case sensitive? 2. Is there a character limit? (Ex. Must be at least eight characters long, must be at least five characters long.) I noticed that when registering for AFF you don't have to type a password twice to confirm that it's right, so the case might simply be that I made a typo, same with the e-mail. I'd feel extra stupid if that were the case, but I can't think of anything else.
-
But the one displayed there is my penname, isn't it? Is my username displayed anywhere publicly?
-
Obviously, I'm able to log into my forum account. But I can't get into my actual AFF account at all, yes, this is the one listed under my name. I have no idea what my user name was, I could have sworn I'd made it the same as my Penname at first, but now I'm having second thoughts, because that's not something I normally do. Anyway, I then tried my usual usernames, etc. And nothing worked. As for the password, I've used the exact same three passwords for every site I have an account with, and none of them match up. I've been doing it that way for almost three years, I don't know what in the world would compel me to use something else for this instance, and worst of all, not remember it. Anyway, from there I tried e-mail addresses, which I inconveniently have a few of that I use actively. They are- Pebbles56@gmail.com --- This one's most likely to be it. Mekinism@gmail.com Wabisukebow@gmail.com Slody1@gmail.com I've checked both the spam and inbox folders of each account, but to no avail. So there's also the possibility that I made some idiotic typo when giving my e-mail address. Basically, I must've taken stupid pills the morning before I made this account... ...Can an admin, or anyone, help me? >>. My e-mail address is conveniently hidden on my profile 8D. I don't know WHY I didn't change that when I was updating things on my profile. Urgh.

All of these are Slash, M/M. 1. I can only remember bits and pieces of this one. I believe it had something to do with a gang boss, or some high-standing guy who was in some illegal shit, who took interest in some homeless, or just about homeless guy. I'm pretty sure the 'homeless' guy was friends with a stray dog at the beginning, and I don't remember how the two characters met. I vaguely remember something about muffins, and calling some guy Mario (or some other name?) just to piss him off. Not a lot of info, but I'm sure if you've read it you'd recognize it from that. 2. For some reason I was sure this story was called 'Phantom' but I can't find it under that name anymore, so maybe it's been removed? Either way, I really liked it so I want to make sure. Basically it was about a guy who feels someone touching him at night but can't see them. Whoever owns these hands beats off all the guy's potential lovers and eventually the 'hands' gain a full human body and starts learning how the world works and what not. 3. The last one I remember extremely well, but I can't find it . It started out with some kid at a party he didn't want to be at around halloween and he meets this guy with a mask on. Throughout the start of this story he's talking about this dude that he has a crush on or whatever, and after he fucks the guy with the mask, he later finds out that it was the guy he was crushing on. I think there were more chapters too... but I can't at all remember what happened in them.

Yep, I can understand it. With the content on AFF, I assume that if the administrators had any way of knowing that a member's age was under eighteen, you could get in trouble politically if their account and presence on the site isn't removed to your best ability? I don't know much about running a website on legal terms, but I always assumed it was more of a 'We can't allow kids here because it's against the law and it'd be on our ass if anyone found out' more than 'you're under eighteen, you go to jail!' During my time as an underage member, I'd treated it as sort of a don't ask, don't tell sort of deal. Guess I was just so excited to finally be legit, I forgot to consider the lie I was leading before. xD Anyway, thanks again for the information on that, and glad I can stick around.
-
Whee, and with this, it has been explained. ...I am eighteen now, for the record. Should'a just kept pretending I was 25. I went and set my birthday to the real date a few months after I turned eighteen. Yeah, I'm a nasty liar. What a dumb thing for me to do, though. Obviously if the account was four years old and I'd only been eighteen for a few months people would know something was up. Anyway, thanks, thought that was it, but wanted to be sure. If you'll let me stick around now that I am eighteen, I appreciate it. But if I get kicked out for being a big bad liar in the past... well, I understand that too. Was fun while it lasted.

I never got a notification saying why, so I don't know the specific reason why it was deleted. This is more of a grumbling than a complaint... 500 reviews down the potty hole. N'yeah, for me, that was a good amount. I mainly wanted to ask: If an account is deleted, what are, specifically, the main reasons? And I'm currently calculating the chances that this account will be deleted just for making this post. Ya'know, once banned, don't come back and all that. But without a notification I don't have information on why it was deleted, so for all I know it could have been a mistake. If someone could answer that question... I'd be very grateful.
