Soooo. Bugaboo had her 18 month check up. They did a Autism test and she passed with flying colors! No Autism is present! But...she's behind in speech therapy so they diagnosed her with developmental delay. Well what do they expect ._. she was 14 weeks early.

My younger one is autistic, so we went through using PECS books and all that. His speech is still his biggest delay, but he can be understood when he wants to be. It's getting him to want to be understood that's harder. O.o

We went through that with my youngest brother. He's severely autistic. At age 2 he stopped speaking, started again in another language due to watching the Jackie Chan movies mom had, and she already knew the language, then in English again. Course now our biggest thing is getting him OFF the computer for at least 5 minutes. Johanna has nothing like that, but her being born so soon delayed her development in that area. They tried to say entirely, but I had to tell them no, she's just...

behind in speech. Not motor. She wasn't walking last NICU follow up, so I can't wait to see their faces this time.
