I finished this story a while back, and I don't think anyone had found it until you did! I greatly appreciate your reading and reviewing of my tale! This story is sort of a departure for me, in that I'm usually writing on more violent movies, but I LOVE this movie, too, and I wanted to stick my toe into it and play. Actually, if you glance into other fan fic homes, as well, you'll discover a lot of "Tombstone" fan fiction, and I have to say that some of the stories based on this movie that I have found are some of the finest examples of excellent writing in the whole business of fan fiction. One writer named Sendai and another named Ash10 are so good, I printed their stories out so I could read them at my leisure. I even took Ash10's story to the dentist to have something calming to read while being tortured. LOL. If you want to know how to find them, drop me a line. Thank you all, so much, for your compliments and kind words. It means a lot! I have this story posted elsewhere, but only on my own fan fic group, M.E.T., which is linked on my bio, if you're curious. This story was a challenge, but a fun one. I wrote it as a dedication to Doug Bradley, and had the honor of giving him a copy of it at a horror convention last year. I gave a copy to Ashley Lawrence, too, and she asked me to sign it! I confess, I became a babbling fangirl in response, but managed to remember how to spell both of our names. LOL. Doug asked me if it was published, and I quickly explained that it was fan fic, but he seemed pleased. I hope they both enjoyed it. I'd love to do another Hellraiser fic eventually, but I'm still working on my novel as well as a batch of other fan fics, and I should finish more of them before I start more new ones.... I just watched Jason 3 again this week, and I think I broke a sweat diving for my copy of this story so I could check facts! But it all checked out... *whew!* I thought I caught a boo-boo. =) Hugs, Anon. 2006-07-30 Hi ZP! It's not my concept, actually, but it is cool, and made sense to me as an explanation for why Jason is a grown man when he drowned at age 11. I got the idea from a site called "Behind the Mask" hosted and written by a friend of mine named Thac. I think he got it from studying the movies and lots of theories about the movies. Namely, from the 'Necronomicon' showing up in Jason IX, in Pamela Voorhees' house. The movie folks claimed it was a fluke of set dressing, that the book shouldn't have been there - but hey, it was. LOL. And Pamela was certainly kooky enough to try to raise Jason up with it. I don't know much about the book, per se, but perhaps the spell involved required the life of a blood relative? It could have been a case of "two birds, one stone", too: she wanted revenge on her hubby for ditching her, and she wanted her son back. In any case, I always was in the camp that believes Jason truly died at 11, so we needed a reason why he was running around in a six-foot-five body. It works for me. =) Thanks for reading, ZP. She is found and terrorized by Jason to the point of passing out. Following an ordeal she can’t remember, she wakes in her bed. Her parents say nothing about the incident. 2007-09-25 Hi Megan, I'm glad you like it! This story is finished, though. I have several others, and one other Snape tale, called "Divergence", which isn't with Hermione, but it's Snape having a canoodle or two. =) It's set in time in the school year before Harry Potter comes to Hogwarts. There are quite a few chapters on it, with two left to go before it's finished. I will be updating that story as soon as I can, too. The forum mentioned that I could respond in the review format, and I just wanted to pop in and say THANKS! for all the wonderful and encouraging reviews! My other Snape fic currently posted is "Divergence". I'm planning on doing a prequel to both of these stories in one whack eventually, too. But I have to finish a few of the current fics before starting new ones.... As for a sequel... Maybe someday. But if I do, it won't be until after the incomparable J.K. Rowling releases the canon book 7. Mostly because, this story was a bear to put together. It's longer on paper than my novel (so far) and its research took longer, too. I guess that's a compliment to Severus, huh? LOL. Confession time: When I began "Mens Rea", I was still in the middle of reading "Goblet of Fire". I pestered my sister a lot (who had read book 5 already) for details and hints, and eventually sunk to peeking in my own newly bought copy of "OotP" to get the facts straight for this fan fic. Getting the students' class schedules as canon as I could nearly drove me to distraction, to say nothing of inventing my own Rowling-esque spells to suit my plot. All of this taught me a very valuable lesson: Don't write the fan fic until you've finished reading the canon material it comes from. *pant, pant* To do otherwise is to invite insanity. LOL. So, I won't be tinkering with a sequel until book 7 is securely read, digested, and enjoyed. It makes for fewer mass edits, too. =P But all that aside, I'd love to do one. Hopefully a bit shorter, though. I printed this story out, and quickly discovered that one must 'lift with the knees' to safely pick it up. *smirk* Thanks again for your kind reviews. I have written 2 slash fics (both Till/Rich, both posted here) but most of my Rammstein fics are hetero exactly because I also noticed there are so few of them. I wanted to write Till in some erotica adventures, and it has been very fun to do them. "Sanctuary", another hetero Till Tale, is a little darker in tone, but you might enjoy it, too. My sex scenes are unique and individual? Wow. Thanks! No one's ever said that before. As for plot, I can't avoid them, as I adore them to bits. Building them is so fun and challenging, and doing so teaches me so much. Hence, I never write "porn without plot" as the saying goes. Mind you, I've read many of those that I enjoyed by others, but I love weaving plots too much to leave them out. And you're very welcome. I'm blushing, but you've made my day with your comments. I do plan on writing more Till fun, and I have 2 more chapters to go on my "work in progress" slash tale, but sooner or later... The muse only needs to strike. 2006-12-31 Nefertari22, I do apologize for the no updates situation on this story. I am working on edits for it, and that can take a while. My only excuse is that I'm juggling 9 "in progress" fan fics and one original novel, and trying to give equal time to all. Plus, I work on the ones the muse inspires me for on a given day, so sometimes one story can fall behind a bit. I was sorry to see that happen to this one, as Doc Ock is a fave of mine, but also, no one seemed to have noticed it in here, so I assumed I could let it sit awhile and work on others. Now that I have at least 3 people reading, I will step up efforts for the new chapter as soon as I can. But it makes my day to know that you sat and read this monster in one go! And the review is greatly appreciated, too. Knowing what you all think helps intensely. There are a handful of chapters left yet on this story, and Wolverine will drop in at least once more, too. If you like Wolverine, you might try reading "Shattered Silence". That's my Wolvie/Jean tale, also a "work in progress", but several chapters are written over there, too. Both that story and this one will eventually have a mutual sequel in which Wolvie and Doc Ock go on an adventure. In the meantime, I promise to work on the new chapter for this story.
