I remember that story! It was really good, and I think the author wrote a sequel with Mark’s best friend and this redhead he met in the first story.
I can’t remember the author’s name, though.

Omg, that was one of my favorites too! I agree with you about it being an unfinished story. I remember refreshing the page various times during the day (back when I didn’t work), hoping for a new chapter.

It was finished. I think there were 50 chapters. She did say she was going to take it down not too long after she finished it. She was going to go through it all, re-edit it and hopefully publish it.

It sounds like Beginner Friday Nights by Selah-Serarfi (I think that’s her username). It’s an awesome story, and the two young men are Will Bloom and Ian Alvarez. Her last update was July 2019.

Unfortunately, she never responded to my email. I’m assuming she has a whole new email no one here knows about. It’s true she has a legion of fans, and I hope she’s ok and just working on getting her great story published.

I’m pretty sure the author is 2rainsong2, but I don’t think she’s on here anymore. I could be wrong, though, because I haven’t been around much lately. There have been a lot of people who ask about her stories.

I don’t remember. I couldn’t find the story, though, under her name. Then I thought maybe it was dextrousleftie, because she wrote awesome stories like that too, but I can’t find it on her site.
I have to go to work now, but I’ll keep looking when I get home. It’s driving me crazy now, too!

I think the story is by 2rainsong2. I’d have to check the name out to be sure because she changed it once or twice.
I remember the story. The biker is in town because his grandmother (aunt?) gave him her house when she passed away, and he was headed up to the house when the sheriff stopped him. I think the biker’s younger than the sheriff. As you said, the sheriff’s late husband shows up to encourage his relationship with the biker. I think he actually shows up frequently, if I remember correctly.
Ok, so I checked, and there’s no 2rainsong2. Then I put in her full name she goes by, Rain Carrington, and her 8 original stories came up, but none of them were the biker/sheriff one.

You’re talking about the best story on here ever —— “Loser” by Sweet Surrender, aka Dedicated Quill. I haven’t been on here in a very long time, but the last I heard, no one could get in touch with her, and she took the story off the site.
