CL.Mustafic — The Glory Hole to Hell Atmospheric and well told. The various classic elements (the ghost story, the abandoned house, the doomed lovers) all make the story that much easier to visualize. As others have said, the title is awesome—and, better still, not just a hollow promise. A part of me wonders, though, whether this story is a sort of test to see whether readers will cheer the punishment of the three oil-rig workers for their bigotry while simultaneously embracing the stereotype of southerners as bigoted rednecks. Not many typos, despite your comment; I only noticed a few minor errors (eg, “too as well,” one place where you wrote “Todd” but seemed to be referring to Steve). I liked the main character, and it didn’t pose any problem for me that I wasn’t already familiar with her background; it seemed like all the important bits could be inferred from the brief comments about her relationship with Kizzy. The twist near the end was great, in that it took me by surprise but still made sense. And I liked Shannon’s powers: The idea of the succubus being able to read a man’s memories via his semen was perfect. Plus, her being a succubus puts a new twist (new AFAIK, anyway) on the “demon seeking redemption” concept, in that she has a rather different set of powers to try to use for good instead of evil.

DA has own thread but she doesn't go on it a whole lot. I do enjoy her comments here because Mangus seems to avoid HIS thread and it is nice to know someone in the family is still around. I know he will blame it on RL - BUT !! B

Is it me or has DA taken over this thread being preggers & all? Relationships? Hell I'm forgetting the story. See what happens fangface when you throw too many ingredients into the pot, they just don't mesh.

I don't think I could understand the next chapter without going back several and them coming forward. However he has been good in several cases of providing background info in the story. Some have criticized him for that in the past but I think it is helpful to those of us without photographic memories. I just hope he posts again SOON !! B

Evil? I prefer to think of it as creating anticipation actually I'm having a little trouble meshing the four story lines. But never fear, I'll get it I blame Chrissy for sidetracking me with this halloween thing

Teaching is fun but being out there its not easy to explain yeah bad guys on the ground after a jump yes everyone you meet will hate you, try to kill you or both and you will walk into what can ONLY be described as hell but the feeling of it of carrying someone out ,of saveing lives or just beimg able to stop bad people its a world that you can not be pushed into it needs to be chosen and those who choose it do not easely choose to quit i aplaud you magus for haveing the strength to give it up before you were hurt i thought i would do it till the day i died but life did not turn out that way altho retirement is nice (i baught a ring) you are a good man just like the rest of you You dident like the chapter because it was filler that was nessicary thats all you just hate filler

I agree it's hard to stop BUT he has a loving family and his chosen profession is a "young mans" game. It is also highly dangerous - makes high steel work seem like a day at the kiddie park. Teaching OK just no "field work". B

isn't he teaching now? who knows some student might do something stupid and get his blood pumping. in my opinion (everyone has one) give him a break after doing something forever it's hard to stop, but he's trying.

yeah I think he's getting a little bored but we try and keep him busy. I don't think he would have retired if he didn't break that vertebrea, it really bothered him. besides, he's too old to be jumping out of airplanes, I want him around a long time yet

Getting shot in the back dose not stop a soldure hell i got shot in the head and it dident took a dr telling me if i get another i might not walk again and sad to say it if he did not need those sergerys you would not know he got hit in the back ive seen enough men say the phraise "dont tell (partner)" first thing after surviving a gunshot its a bit moor common then anyone will admit lucky soldures are tough built to take a bullet or two a lot of partners dont know till they find the purple heart and ps retirement is BOREING NOW miss my old job

not a car crash, he got shot in the back. Thats what destroyed his back and why he's had 4 back surgeries in the last 18 months or so. Also why Lizzie and I bitched, whined, threatened, cried and anything else we could think of to get him to retire.

Chapter 13 is up, not happy with it but you can only pound on a nail so long...

Breast Cancer took my mom, still hurts a decade later But she lived almost 6 years longer than her doctor gave her, Magus got her in a study. I think he pulled some serious favors in too cause he made sure she didn't get stuck in the placebo group, no idea how he pulled that off
