I hope this is a good place for this if it's not then feel free to smack me for it (or just delete it and tell me where to post it ) I have the hardest time coming up with titles for my stories. Is it just me? It seems like everywhere I look people have catchy titles that make me want to read their work. My titles end up being cliche no matter how hard I try to think of something original and eye catching. Which brings me to why I created this thread...I need help! I have a story that I'm currently working on that needs a title so I'm going to post a short synopsis here and if anyone has any ideas feel free to shout them out. Premise of the Story: An eighteen year old guy, just out of high school, lives with his mom who's a druggie. In short, she runs up a big tab with her dealer and then he takes the kid in to his boss to see if they can make a deal for him to work off her debt. Oh and it's not his choice because if it was up to him he'd let his mom wallow in her own crap so he's a bit pissed about the whole thing as you can imagine. So the boss gives him a choice, he can run drugs or do Gay for Pay porn to pay off her debt since it's one of his side businesses. The kid's not gay and he doesn't end up falling in love with any guys. This is not a romance story! It's more humorous as the guy bumbles his way through figuring out how to have sex with guys even though he's not attracted to them and the situations that come up because of doing gay porn...you get the picture. Okay so who has an idea for a title? I will do anything if someone can just give me a suitable title! So far Magusfang has been helping me but we haven't come up with anything I really like. The closest we've come is The Debt which seems a little vague to me but maybe it's good? Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I think I would call it, "The Package Deal," which references the agreement he was forced into as well as calling the male bits "a package," and... and... no? Oh, well... what about... This one only works if your son character is named Max: "Mad Max: Fury Choad" Or, how about: "Not Mother of the Year" "What I Did on My Summer Vacation" "How to Succeed in Gay Porn Without Really Trying" "Rimming for No Fun or Profit" "I Suck at This" "The Obligation" I'll be here all week, folks! Tip your waitress! Note for concerned observers: I'm not ridiculing people; just trying to come up with a clever line. No offense intended!!

I like Melrick's suggestion also but wonder how many people would make the connection... I've already run through oodles of titles in that vein but was trying for something a little less...um just less I guess LOL Most of my titles so far sound like bad after school specials like Gay for Pay: How I ended up in the bottom Magus has also come up with some very bad titles along the same lines. My favorite so far is Poking Poopers for Pennies, I'm just not that brave though. I may go with this and if I do I will make sure to give you credit JayDee!

The Debtwich Horror? A play on the name of the H.P. Lovecraft story "The Dunwich Horror". lol I'm terrible at thinking up names as well. I want a word processing software that can 'read' my story and give me a suggestion for titles!

"One Thousand Apologies", originally at The Blue Site (since banned for underage), now at stories online I will get the next chapter out, sometime - been working on it off and on. I follow bashful on Twitter and we email very occasionally, but I haven't heard anything in recent weeks.
