We all know Ulen Hibiki was kind of a dick, with ripping his unborn son out of his wife's womb to use for his experiment. But what if he wasn't just an ambitious jerkass, but a well-intentioned sociopath, who just saw his actions as being for humanity's own good?

Coordinators were supposed to guide humanity into a better future, and as the Ultimate Coordinator, Hibiki intended his son to do a great deal to work towards that ideal. But, as a brilliant geneticist, he realized the eventual problems with Coordinator fertility long before it started popping up frequently. He also recognized the pressure Kira would eventually be under, and came up with a way to deal with both, in his own amoral way.

Along with the standard superior strength and intellect stuff all Coordinators have, Hibiki threw in a modification that would resolve the fertility problem, and which would be passed down through the generations of his son's descendents. In short, if Kira is the father, doesn't matter how much trouble the woman has had conceiving before, Coordinator or Natural, he can get the job done. Along with another few modifications that lead to a pheromone making Kira more irresistible to women and an increased desire to procreate, in Hibiki's mind, he's just done the world a lot of good. With proper planning, the fertility issue can be phased out in a few generations, Coordinators with more complete and perfect enhancements will account for most of the Coordinator population, and he and his son will go down in history as the genius who brought about a revolution and the father of a new generation. Plus, Kira will have a lot of sex to help deal with the stress of helping lead humanity to a brighter future. To keep things under control, he'll raise Kira carefully, and make sure to have Cagalli as a control mechanism (also Hibiki's curious to see the offspring of twins after one was genetically modified and the other wasn't). Mad scientist, yo.

Then Rau le Creuset got all pissy about his shortened lifespan and stuff, and Ulen Hibiki's careful plan went right out the window. He never saw fit to tell anyone about his crazy idea, and most of his research was destroyed. Rau might know, but he's a dick and won't tell anyone. Without Hibiki's careful cultivation, the plan is mostly shot, except those genetic traits are still inside Kira. Which wasn't a problem at all until puberty, and still managed to not be a big deal for a while (although inappropriate thoughts about Athrun's mother ran rampant up until the Bloody Valentine, at which point it seemed in bad taste).

Then his adopted father died suddenly. They grieved, and Kira did as he felt necessary and tried to step up as the man of the house, performing admirably...and then suddenly getting the urge to fulfill his father's other duties. In a moment of weakness, his mother succumbs, and then cums. Repeatedly. He ain't the Ultimate Coordinator for nothing. That's when they finally have a frank talk, and discuss Kira's stronger than usual sex drive. The next few years are spent with Kira learning to keep it in his pants, and occasionally fucking his mother silly.

Life at Helipolis is great. Just classes which are no problem, hanging with his friends, trying desperately to honor the bro code by staying away from Miriallia, going after other girls that catch his eye, and giving mom a good seeing to sometimes. At which point ZAFT does a cockblock. Things go as they do, up until a wrinkle rises: Kira hasn't been so completely celibate in years, and is going out of his mind. Mir and Flay are off limits, and he really doesn't want to be the guy who says, "I brought in your life boat when it malfunctioned, you owe me." Murrue and/or Natarle wind up helping out, with the understanding that it's to keep him stable and piloting.

Again events continue, he meets Lacus but keeps it in his pants because that would be creepy when they wind up using her as a hostage. Flay completely forgets about her plans to manipulate Kira shortly into their encounter. Cagalli succumbs to his awkward, unintentional charms after he breaks down to her on the deck (they go uninterrupted as Flay is still out from the night before).

It boils down to Kira having a genetic drive to fuck most every CE female silly, trying and in some cases succeeding at getting them pregnant. For female Coordinators, though, it's also their best chance at having kids.
