Guest Alien Pirate Pixagi Posted July 11, 2006 Report Share Posted July 11, 2006 Couple of days ago a writer that anyone who peeks at the Journal/Rants section will know posted a flame in reply to a flame she recieved by some anonymous reviewer. It's still up there if you wanna take a look. Well, later, after many reviews telling her how annoying and immature she's being (not to mention the people telling her she's a minor and needs to get the hell off the site) she posted ANOTHER thing saying she'll leave the site and not come back until she's of age, which she claims is soon. On her user page, it says she's 17, however she wrote a review claiming to be 15. I reported her to the admins a day or two ago, and it seems I'll have to do it again because this girl is SO INCREDIBLY STUPID. I mean, seriously. She made a new account with a very similar bio and an email address which just so happens to be her old penname. GASP! Who could possibly imagine it was her? Funny thing is, I wouldn't have known had one of my reviewers told me her new penname in a response to an email I sent her. First time I knew of this particular "writer" she commented on a rant-thingy I posted not too long ago. like every other underaged person who read it, she mistook my meaning, assuming I was saying that AFF.Net needed to change the rules to accomodate underaged authors when in fact I was talking about why AFF.net COULDN'T allow kids on the site. I don't underdstand what there is not to get! She's obviously not old enough to be on this site, nor is she mature enough to know how to conduct herself on the internet and yet... le sigh. And then, apparently assuming she's all slick and clever, she makes a new account with most of the same information. What the hell? Even if it was discovered she was 35 physically, mentally, she's about fourteen. "See kiddies? It's not just the naughty stuff that makes AFF dangerous! We've got mean people here who won't spare feelings. If one anon review can break your heart or cause you to go spastic, you really need to stay away!" And if she can't stand the heat of a bad review, then she should get the hell off the site. I've gotten reviews (no flames, thankfully) that I didn't agree with, but responded as graciously as I could. You've got to have a somewhat thick skin for this game, I think. As for a similar situation...the bad fic I pointed out in my post, actually started because the story had similarities to another. Which I pointed out to the author. In her next post, she addressed that (I'm just going to paraphrase). She said she never read the story that has similar themes. That she wrote her story two years ago, when she was sixteen, and posted it on another site, but it was removed for content. OK. When I looked at her user profile, it shows she joined AFF two years ago. Hmm, wouldn't that make her 16 then and in violation of the TOS? Also, why wouldn't she have posted it here in the first place? She posted three other stories last year, when she was 17, (if she's telling the truth about her age now). Then more good reviews started rolling in for her story and we've covered that aspect. There's a couple of other things that aren't adding up either, but I won't go into it. The upshot is, to my eyes, her credibility is shot. And she's too stupid to realize that she's not fooling anybody who has a brain in their head. The stubborness and tunnel vision of some of these kids, especially the under 18 crowd, really aggravates me. They jeopardize the site for everyone and they're just too thick to understand that. She'll read it then delete it. And Inkslinger, her new account is La Bluesan Compare it to this and you'll immediatly notice the similarities. At firt I tried being nice to her (starting with tellinbg her that caps were annoying to read, which she responded to by eliminating ALL use of caps... ugh...). Now she's just a pain. Then she seems to have seen reason when she re-read what you said, and left. Well, good riddance to bad rubbish, I say. What sensible teenager would actually admit their age after reading the TOS? If they don't read that rant too deeply, (like to the third paragraph or so), they will start responding as these fools did. I mean, even when I started to read it, I was like, wtf, Pixagi? But then, of course, I persevered and a lightbulb went on over my head and I actually had to laugh at 1/2 the reviewers who obviously didn't have the patience to get to the end.... Although, I don't think you meant it as a ploy. Kind of surprising, eh? Of course, you realize, this is giving me evil ideas. (You'd think these people would check out the forum once in a while.) They also post the most asinine comments! I joined here because of it being an adult site, and I'm now thinking this member may have been tossed out of kiddy sites because of her rude behavior. I know that techically, if discovered, these people must be removed from the site. However, in most cases, these people have probably even told their parents they're doing this and have parental permission. So, chances are, no one will ever know. When it comes down to it, as long as some enraged parent doesnt find their kid on here and go ape shit on us, pushing to have the site removed, and the kid isnt causeing us any problems (flames, trolling, spams, breakage of other TOS rules, etc) I could care less. Of course, in the world we live in now with the governing powers acting the way they are, I wonder how long that will keep up. It doesn't matter if the kid has their parents permission, blessing, whatever. If they log in from a school or library, we could get caught in a web of trouble because those log files are scanned daily (or are supposed to be... heh). Not only that, but if they are found via a search engine of some kind, then the government has all those records. They just made yahoo, msn, and tried to make google, fork over all the search queries in their databases to "search for child porn", but in reality, it's coming down on the heads of innocent people who searched for "sand" on a search engine and came up with some asshole's idea of "fun" and found a naked kid in the sand or something. It's horrible that they're doing this. Granted, they investigate it. But what they fail to realize is that if your are a government job holding person, then simply being investigated is enough to loose your job, period. Besides that fact, the government has been trolling sites like ours and gleening all the info they can in order to get the sites shut down for good. This whole thing has the entire "adult" related community in an uproar. Even I panicked about my own personal site, simply because I have artwork and stories that aren't for kiddies eyes. It's all under lock and key and quite the amount of legal mumbo-jumbo. Sure, I loose visitors that way, but there's not a damn thing I can do about it since I don't want my ass fried if the government ever steps foot onto my site. So um... paranoid? The new cdn govt just raised the age of consent from 14 to 16. People from the 60's are ruling the world now. Doesn't that just seem like the most ironic thing in the world? The people of the 60's enjoyed so much freedom, (and at the same time, saw so many consequences), and they are taking the very freedom they enjoyed away from their own children! I guess they know how their parents felt now! I am just shaking my head. Am I that far off base? Sure, freedom is a dangerous thing, but well, THEY started it! BAckLAsh!
