Ya know, I really don't like to rant, but sometimes you have to vent or explode. So here goes *grrrr*. I don't even fucking like to shop at Wal-Mart, but it's close by and my roommate/stepmom doesn't like to drive a long way just to shop. Her daughter came to visit us from out of state and we went shopping for stuff for a special dinner for her. My stepmom decided to pick up some beer for her because they had her favorite brand on sale. So we go into the liquor room and she starts to browse and I'm looking at some energy drinks near the checkout and I notice the cashier looking at me, not just casually mind you, but really giving me the evil eye. Now being Gothic and wearing the clothing and make-up associated with my lifestyle I'm kinda used to that, so I'm about to say "keep watching I may do a trick." When my Stepmom is ready to check out so I let it go and wait for her. Well the dipshit cashier asks her for her ID, which seems kinda weird since she's sixty years old and looks it. She starts to dig it out, and the Walmartian (who was probably about 45 and you'd think would have some sense)says "Not yours, hers." and points at me. I'm gobsmacked and my Stepmom says "But I'm the one buying the beer." to which the cashier replies "It doesn't matter I can't sell you any alcohol because you have that GIRL with you." I'm about ready to laugh my arse off because I'm 37 years old, and I assure her I'm well over 21 and I'm not buying anything anyway which she ignores and she refuses to sell my Stepmom the beer and flatly tells me I shouldn't even be in the alcohol room, because you have to be 21. WTF? We both got pissed off and walked out without buying a thing. There were people I'm sure were younger than me in there who she didn't card so what the hell was that all about?

That's so sad I love his books so much. He's such a wonderful writer. It's just so unfair. My granddad went through that the last few years of his life, and it hurt so much to see him like that. My thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Pratchett and his family.

I don't find editing a chore at all, it let's me change things or add things at the last minute, and of course make sure the spelling, etc. isn't going to make me look like an idiot

I'm a goth girl and I love vampires; love,love,love,LOVE them with all my black little heart and you'll find most of my fics (as yet unposted, as a hard drive crash left me with just a few badfics)are based on the movies 'Interview with the vampire' and 'Queen of the Damned'. My fave pairings in this genre are LeStat/Louis,LeStat/Jesse/David,Louis/Armand, Marius/Armand, Marius/Pandora and Jesse/David. Thanks to Juliedoc for my first and only review on AFF for my 'intentional badfic' so far

I can't say I've ever had a stupid review (touch wood), just a stupid request in a review. I had a person tell me that they liked a short,one shot Vampire Chronicles piece I did ages ago (under a different pen name and at a different fic page), and then requested that I write more...but include a fave teen actor of theirs in the story who had absolutely nothing to do with the genre or the fandom. ( And not as an OC who looked like them mind you, but as themselves!!!???)I mean I appreciate that they liked the story, but the request made no bloody sense to me whatsoever and was just so odd that it just seemed well...stupid. Still scratching my head over that one.

My opinion is if people want to make a comment, cool, if not,whatever. I certainly can understand wanting concrit and general feedback, which once upon a time I hoped to get when writing my early fics. I did get some nice comments,but far more views than reviews, which at first I found kind of annoying because I really wanted opinions to help improve my writing, sadly no one ever gave me any So now I just sort of put up what I write and don't hold my breath about getting reviews. (Of course right now I just have an intentionally bad fic and a quickie PWP on AFF, so I really don't expect any comments on them.)

I only post on AFF. There is a wonderful variety of fandoms here. Most of my stuff (as yet unposted here) is Vampire Chronicles stuff. Most fic pages won't allow VC fics, not even ones based on the movies (which mine are). I'm pleased to see that there really are no limits to what universe's that you can play in here, which is great for a writer.

PretentiousArtWhore is a nickname I got when I was running RPG's, because I was into really detailed descriptions and flavor text, and I was at one point a half-assed artist.

My avatar at the moment Is David Talbot from the movie 'Queen of the Damned', but I tend to change avvies fairly often. (when I can find them in my really disorganized computer.)
