Guest Heavy Metal Alchemist Posted September 25, 2008 Report Posted September 25, 2008 1) I'll beta for anything, no holds barred. If I know things about the fandom already, then I can also point out any mistakes you make in continuity or facts you think are canon (if you like). For other fandoms, before I start reading your story, I will read up a bit on the show/book/etc so that I have a grip on what certain characters are like and what the basic plot is. I like to make sure I can help in any way I can, and knowing the fandom helps me do so. 2) Even if I don't like the fandom your story is from, or find the content displeasing (though I am hard to shock), I'll still beta your story. No questions asked. I was a member of the AFF yahoo group of betas for a while, a couple years back, but I had to stop for personal reasons. I've been editing my friends' stories since then, and I missed the interesting stories that came my way when I used to beta for strangers online. I have plenty of spare time in which to edit many stories. Other than that, I really don't know what to say. Hope I can help some authors who need a beta. Quote
