Miranda Pixie Posted August 13, 2008 Report Posted August 13, 2008 To make it a little more certain for authors, and a lot easier for readers, please consider adding sub-subcategories to Comics/Crossovers. In Comics/Crossovers, the brief story descriptions do not necessarily indicate the universe and/or characters involved. Under other Comics subcategories, one can get away with vague descriptions (if a story is posted under Batman, we assume the story is about Batman, or under X-Men, about X-Men), but in Crossovers, where there is no indication of the characters and universe, there's no way for the reader to reasonably guess what the story is about. I bring this up because, in terms of comic fandom, many may read anything, but there's a lot of fans who read DC exclusively, or Marvel exclusively, and don't necessarily know anything about the other. So, having to wade through non-descriptive summaries, clicking on every post to find a story with characters they know and love, or just characters within the universe they know and love, can be a serious turn off. Please consider then, adding sub-subcategories, like... Comics -- Crossovers ---- DC Universe (for DC exclusive stories, as a Batman/Superman crossover) ---- Marvel Universe (for Marvel exclusive stories, as an X-men/Fantastic 4 crossover) ---- Multiversal (for non universe specific stories, as a Supergirl[DC]/Spidergirl[Marvel] crossover) Then of course, there’s Dark Horse, Valiant, Mirage, etc. and so on… all with a number of titles to be crossed under their own umbrellas. So, just a thought. And many thanks.
DemonGoddess Posted August 15, 2008 Report Posted August 15, 2008 the sub subs for that section will be added when we get there.
