More than one person can write their own version of any of these story ideas.  It's bound to have different takes on the storyline.

 

Different scenarios for a story.  Pick whichever storyline appeals to you:

 

 

Tom Riddle/Voldemort and his deatheaters kidnap Harry from the Dursley's or from Hogwarts and take him prisoner.  Takes place during OOTP

 

After the wizarding world acknowledges Voldemort has returned, they[Fudge and Dumbledore mainly] make a deal with Voldemort and the deatheaters to hand over Harry in exchange for Voldemort and the deatheaters leaving the rest of them in peace. Fudge is still minister. Takes place at end of OOTP or HBP timeline.

 

Dumbledore comes to the conclusion the only way to save the wizarding world is to trap Tom and Harry together in a mansion/castle barricaded by magic so they can't get out.[After OOTP]

 

Dumbledore is refusing to talk to Harry, Ron and Hermione and the others don't understand, Harry is still feeling guilty over Cedric's death and he's feeling helpless with the wizarding world against him.  Feeling it's the last resort, Harry makes a deal with Voldemort. To protect the people in the wizarding world, he offers himself as a distraction.[Set during OOTP and Death Eaters should be included preferrably, but they don't have to be.
