How to use search

An important first thing to remember is that you can only search within individual domains.  For example, if you want to search for a Harry Potter story, you first need to go to that archive.  You can’t search the entire archive from one location.  The reason for this is that we had no choice but to split the archive into different databases, since one single database simply couldn’t cope.

Once you find the archive you want, click on that.

Near the top left you’ll see the words “Search Archive”.  Click that.

You can search via a range of options. You can search for an author's name, a story summary, a title, and even story tags.

Remember, though, it does not search the entire archive, only the subdomain you are currently in. So make sure you're in the appropriate subdomain before you start your search.
