If you recognise from the description and know please tell me. It starts with this teen boy who lives with his older brother (his step-father is awol and his abusive mother dead I believe?). He hangs out with a dodgy friend who turns out to be some kind of drug runner. At the same time he comes to the attention of this cop because he is delinquent. This cop pressures the teen into getting involved into the drug stuff as an informant with his friend (but off the books). The cop is rather abusive and beats him up. Eventually there is a police raid and shoot up that results in the teen's friend dying. It turns out that the police already had an informant in the drugs ring anyway. The teen's step-father then turns up again and he ends up moving elsewhere to live with him but his brother doesn't move with him. The story is a work in progress and I read up to about here where he starts home schooling and working in a garage in the new town and the cop turns up again. So - anyone any ideas please? Quote
