Keith Inc. Posted January 24, 2008 Report Posted January 24, 2008 So, someone attacked me, took 77 hit points. Left me with 45. I responded, took 49 of theirs. They were left with 19. They won. It just seems odd. I had more hit points at the end. I was the stronger one. Did they win for doing more damage than i did? Or for having a greater percentage of their starting value after all was said and done? Quote
DarkInuLord Posted January 24, 2008 Report Posted January 24, 2008 The amount of damage done, obviously. Quote
DemonGoddess Posted January 24, 2008 Report Posted January 24, 2008 I'd say it was initial damage as well Quote
Keith Inc. Posted January 24, 2008 Author Report Posted January 24, 2008 But that seems odd. I mean, at the end of it, i'm still healthier than my attacker was. Seems like someone hits me enough to make me limp, i take their leg off at the hip, and the judges give it to them? Quote
DarkInuLord Posted January 24, 2008 Report Posted January 24, 2008 But think of it like this. You attack someone, miss, they hit you for 30 damage. You're down to 100 HP, but they had a max HP of 99... You didn't do any damage, but you would still win? >_> Quote

If i'm so healthy that i can take all the damage they can dish out and STILL be the farthest from death, why not? It's not that i win for missing, it's that i win for very, very carefully and successfully choosing my targets. Quote
DemonGoddess Posted January 25, 2008 Report Posted January 25, 2008 I think it may also have to do with the weapon that the module picks at random for the other guy to use against you. If they use a more powerful weapon (even when they don't have the stats), the thing gives them the battle. Quote
