TentacleFan Posted December 16, 2012 Report Posted December 16, 2012 I apologize if this is not the right section of the forums for this. If so please feel free to move the topic where it belongs. I recently noticed one of my stories (which can be found here http://anime.adult-fanfiction.org/story.php?no=600053814) was moved to Misplaced Stories>Manga section. I was wondering how a writer can tell what goes into Anime vs Manga forums when posting a story. Often times there are both anime and manga for a particular title. I hadn't even read or seen any of the manga for the title in the story, having only been familiar with it via the anime version. I'm not a fan of making any more work for the site staff than necessary so if there is any help that can be given on the topic to ensure proper posting I'd appreciate it. Thank you.
DemonGoddess Posted December 16, 2012 Report Posted December 16, 2012 When researching the title, I was only finding a manga title for this. There is an anime that is due to be released in or around mid 2013. So, that would mean that the story more properly goes to the manga subdomain as that is the active property.
TentacleFan Posted December 17, 2012 Author Report Posted December 17, 2012 Huh, that is interesting. I know I saw the anime and haven't ever read the manga before. I did some digging and turned up the following. It was a series of light novels which has been turned into an anime and manga since then. The upcoming anime you found for 2013 is actually the second season of the show. The first season aired in 2010 in Japan. It's streaming dubbed in english on Crunchyroll and the dvd's are for sale on amazon.com here's a link to the wiki : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/My_little_sister_can%27t_be_this_cute and here's a link to the amazon page. http://www.amazon.com/Oreimo-DVD-Complete-Set/dp/B008HRHHJK/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1355711943&sr=8-3&keywords=my+little+sister+can%27t+be+this+cute To prevent issues with placement in the future what is the best course of action? Should I put in a request for any show/series that doesn't have a section along with a link to the story? Thanks for taking the time to answer my inquiry.
DemonGoddess Posted December 17, 2012 Report Posted December 17, 2012 Absolutely put in a req. It sure makes it easier for all concerned. For example, now that I know that there was an anime in 2010, I'll create the category and move the story. Moving stories within a subdomain is much, MUCH easier than moving from one to another.
Guest tentaclefan Posted December 17, 2012 Report Posted December 17, 2012 Thanks again! Knowing this i'll proactively do so to help make things easier.
