Personally I'm looking forward to seeing Mirkwood, Thranduil and the dragon and more of Middle Earth in general.

Personally, I'd like to see them make the Silmarillion in some fashion as well. The Elder Days is my favorite part of the whole thing series of stories.

But, if they are really making a movie version of The Hobbit, yeah, I'd love to see more of Mirkwood, and Smaug being the major character HE is, I'm curious to see how exactly they make him look for this.

I just hope he won't be a dragon like the one in "Eragon".

Abd if the rumors are indeed true then we will see some things about The Silmarillion too; IF there will be two movies about the Hobbit, like the articles said. I really hope so, because The S. is truly fascinating.

This is great news, I can't wait to see who they cast! With PJ on board it should have the same feel as the LOTR movies too. Not to mention, two new films should be *great* for fandom!
