DEA agents told Prieto he would receive a notice of federal proceedings to permanently forfeit the money within 30 days and that to get it back, he'd have to prove it was his and did not come from illegal drug sales.

So now people are guilty until proven innocent?

That's the world we live in - it sucks, it's unfair, it's wrong... and it won't change anytime soon. We really can't blame Bush as it's been happening for a long time, but the fact that this was caught up by the press might embarrass them enough that they might take less than a decade to get the money back to him. Doubt it though.
