quamp Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 Story here MIAMI (Reuters) - An 11-year-old girl was charged with drunken driving after leading police on a chase at speeds of up to 100 mph that ended when she flipped the car in an Alabama beach town. You know, when I was eleven years old, we didn't drive drunk. We rode our bicycles drunk instead. The young driver, who lived nearby in Perdido Key, Florida, was treated at a hospital for scrapes and bruises and released to relatives. Police also charged her with speeding, leaving the scene of an accident and reckless endangerment. Good thing the officer was in a good mood - she could have also gotten driving without a license as well. The car belonged to a relative and police were still trying to find out where she got the alcohol. There was none in the vehicle but her blood alcohol level was over the limit for adult motorists, police told the newspaper. Why couldn't she have just been drawing and writing porn like her peers? [/sarcasm] It's sad that the youth of today feel that they can get away with stuff like this. Quote
ladydeathfaerie Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 i read this yesteday, quamp, and i was like... WTF? its sad when a child that young is drinking more than an adult. what's frightening is she was apparently able to drive with that much alcohol in her system. that mus mean she's the size of my brother, who is in his 40's and is over 6 feet tall. its sad and its wrong. Leonhart29 Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 I honestly didn't believe it when I read this one. What I want to know is this - where the fuck are her parents? And are they being charged as well? I would think that a neglect charge, providing alcohol to a minor, and child abuse would be the least of their worries. Quote
