Phoenix Dawn's review reply thread

Phoenix Dawn

Recommended Posts

I decided to start a thread to answer any questions reviewers may have about my stories, or concerns they see within the stories.

For the story The Mark on the Moon:

Sauropod: Thanks for the review! I loved Raven and Elaipha's reunion as well ^_^. This story will definitely be epic, and it's actually going to be more than one book, I'm just not sure on how many books there will be altogether.

Random critique person: It may seem too soon for them to say they love one another, but they are both reincarnated, and so they are continuing the love they felt for one another thousands of years before, even though they themselves don't know about this. So them saying "I love you" just seems like an impulse. And making love was also on impulse. Rayffel mentioned that everything with Shaelyn just seemed to fit, but he couldn't explain why. That's all I'm giving away for now. There will be many answers later on in the story, have faith!

For the story The Marquis Series, Book I: Prelude:

dazedandconfused: I'm so glad you like my story! And thanks for the review :). To answer your question, yes Cale is Constantine's son. Yeah, Lucifer is crazy but he's awesome :D. Just don't call him Satan! He hates it to no end :P. Sadly, Lucifer is not Cale's mother, but you will learn about his mother in chapter 4, i promise! And I'll be sure to check out the story you mentioned as soon as I can :).

Ok, I am rewriting The Mark on the Moon. I've finally come to realize that when a story becomes more of a chore to write than a joy, it's time to rethink and redo. So, I am going to work on it once again and change it, and most likely I will change it entirely. I'm not sure. Some of you will like the idea, some of you will hate it, but in the end I hope all of you will enjoy at least some part of it. I know Shaelyn is not too happy with me, but then again he never is :P. I think he's been trying to tell me all along that I was messing up his story, I just wasn't listening (as usual). Now as for my other story, The Marquis Series, I just started that one so it will be awhile before I need to change anything with that one. Hopefully I won't mess that one up as badly as I did with The Mark on the Moon. Again I apologize to my readers. Please bear with me and support me along my fantastical disasters.

The Marquis reviews:

Anihyr Moonstar: Yeah, I love the bantering also ^_^. Grim and Constantine don't really hate each other, even though they act like they do :P. There's more to it than what appears, but we'll just have to find out later, won't we? Mwahahahaha!

smint45: I'm glad you like Grim. I like him too ;). No staff yet, but it will make an appearance soon, I promise!

Yeah, sorry the chapters for The Marquis Series are kinda messed up. I'm working on them to make them read better, so that's why chapter 1 is different from the rest. I wanted to get chapter 4 out for the readers and also because it was screaming in my head to be written, so I had to get it out before I lost it. I'm glad a few people enjoy this story. I just hope I can make it better with revision.

Crosshairs reviews:

dazedandconfused: Mwahahahahaha!!!! I like leaving cliffhangers from time to time, but it's usually later in the story. With Crosshairs, for some reason it happened in chapter 1. Did Sinn shoot Rilus? Hmmm.....don't know yet. And yay, story stalker! At least I know I'll have one person reading it :P.

blueskies: Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter and my writing so far ^_^. Yes I know, I left a cliffhanger. My bad :P. I hope to have chapter 2 done soon.

The Mark on the Moon review:

miles: I'm glad you like this version too! :) It took awhile for me to get chapter 3 up because I had to rethink the ENTIRE story line as well as some of the characters. After reading SuperfluousMan's review, I finally realized where my flaws were and why I was getting stuck also. I hope everyone enjoys the new, improved version because I know I do :).

Crosshairs review:

lividfire: Thanks for the review! I was worried I wouldn't be getting any more for this story. I'm so glad you enjoy it so far ^_^! Just wait until the next chapter, things are gonna get juicy ;). And I've never heard of the anime you mentioned, I'll have to check it out when I have time to spare :).

The Mark on the Moon review:

oo: Thanks for the review! :D

I actually had planned from the start for Shaelyn to be male/female (or a hermaphrodite) and my readers will see why much later on, unfortunately. For those that read the original version, the Goddess Ryvana was a mega bitch, but I've completely changed her. A few other characters have changed as well.

The Mark on the Moon review:

dazedandconfused: Thanks so much for the review, Dazed! I think some readers think he's girly because he tends to cry or get teary a lot. I know that happens to me when I'm in a strange place and feel like an outcast and then girls hate me for no apparent reason. That was the type of life I had growing up and constantly moving to new places. And since he's a hermaphrodite, his female side goes through a menstrual cycle each month, so there's another onslaught with hormones and mood swings. In a sense, Shaelyn is me, and yet he's stronger than me in some areas. But as I said in the previous reply above, he will change drastically much later on.

See you next chapter :).

The Marquis Series review:

smint45: Thanks for the review! Yeah, Luci is a big kid :P. We'll see more of his serious side later on. I intended the fight scene to be short, but there will be some that are much longer, I promise! King Paimon is rather pissed that Cale summoned a Roc and ended the fight quickly, so he'll make a return later on as well. Stay tuned!

The Mark on the Moon reviews:

eroburn: Thanks for the review :). I know Shaelyn is a bit more feminine than he should be, but there is a reason and we will learn soon enough. His masculine side will start to show more now that Spunk is in the picture :P.

DNight: Thanks for the review! Sorry but Ravsha and Shaelyn are not going to pair up. We will learn the reason in time. I hope to have the next chapter done in a week or so, so stay tuned! :)

The Mark on the Moon reviews:

ILoveWyatt: I'm glad you love this story :).

Squall-sama: Thanks for the review! I'm glad you like it so much :). This is actually the third rewrite and since I've been working on it for a long time now, I have no plans to give up. So fear not, dear reader, Shaelyn's tale will continue on!
