Guest Knorg Posted April 1, 2007 Report Posted April 1, 2007 How about a filter on the members directory to only show user accounts with 'stories currently published'? Would only need to update every 12 or 24 hours, so I don't think it would be much extra server load. When looking for a specific writer I used ctl+f search, but sometimes it's kind of interesting to click through random names and see what they've written. Only, now, it seems as if there's a lot more that are just review accounts, like mine, (no doubt partly because of a need to register sockpuppets for some users), with no stories attached.
Guest echtrae Posted April 1, 2007 Report Posted April 1, 2007 Knorg, I'll look into it, and if it's something that I can implement easily then I will make sure it gets on the list of things to do.
Guest DarkAvenger Posted April 1, 2007 Report Posted April 1, 2007 I thought this was already on there? Meaning when you click in the member directory http://celeb.adult-fanfiction.org/authors.php it only shows the users who are published authors. And when you search, http://celeb.adult-fanfiction.org/search.php it returns all results? (The search has to return all results, otherwise users get confused and scouts won't be able to hunt effectively btw.) Or at least that's what I was lead to believe from C. A. Moore
Guest echtrae Posted April 1, 2007 Report Posted April 1, 2007 I hate to break the news to you DA, but she mis-informed you. The Member Directory returns everybody, regardless of whether they have posted any stories or not.

Guest Knorg Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 Knorg, I'll look into it, and if it's something that I can implement easily then I will make sure it gets on the list of things to do. Thanks - If it's hard to do, it ain't worth doing, that's for sure! Just one of those minor "Would maybe be a good idea..." thoughts while clicking empty names.
