Guest Mayuri Posted May 8, 2011 Report Posted May 8, 2011 I don't think I've ever seen a pairing with either Harry/Mr.Lovegood or Harry/Tom Riddle SENIOR (Voldemort's dad), and I challenge those reading this to break that continuity of nothingness. Mr.Lovegood should be grabbed up by Harry before marrying and having Luna, preferably. Tom Senior should be snatched up before Merope drugs him. Harry's presence should also prevent him from being drugged to begin with...or Harry should figure out that his love is being drugged into loving someone else and stop it, leading to a very guilty-feeling and apologetic Tom Senior, possibly leading to make-up sex. Both of these can either be accomplished through time travel or just harry being born in a different time to begin with. Quote
Guest SailorVee Posted June 2, 2011 Report Posted June 2, 2011 As interesting as a Tom Sr/Harry pairing is...how would that work? Tom Sr is the heir to an old family in a time where homosexuality was very much NOT accepted. You could maybe twist that in the wizarding world with blood adoption rituals or Mpreg, but how would Tom Sr and Harry work around it? Sure, you could have them run away, but I think Tom's the type who'd rather suffer an arranged marriage to keep his comfortable lifestyle than elope with someone and end up poor or something...but I guess that would rely on Harry's financial station...Oh! But Tom Sr probably looks down at magic and such. He'd probably bolt and babble if he found out Harry had it. He might even imply Harry used magic to make him love another man, even though he didn't. If anyone is willing or able to write around all of this though, it'd be a very interesting read. If something good comes out of it, please let me know. Quote
Guest Mississippi2we35 Posted July 12, 2011 Report Posted July 12, 2011 What if Tom Sr. lost his memory or something? That could be a plot device to get around the problem of the Senior's possible socially enforced reaction to homosexuality. Anyway, this looks like it has promise. Please, keep us informed as to the results of the challenge. Quote

Well back then secret homosexual affairs weren't uncommon, though never mentioned and like I said it was secret the struggle between Tom wanting Harry but also trying to be what society expects would in its self be a plot device Plus maybe instead of Tom losing his memories it should be Harry who loses his memories and ends up living with the Gaunts or being picked up and saved by Tom On 7/12/2011 at 7:00 AM, brrIMCOld said: Tom Senior this, Tom Senior that, but what about Mr. Lovegood?!
