As the title says, I need help with this character, main (rather basic) bio is here

When Change Started; Age 16, few days after birthday, random trigger

However, I'm stuck on a "race" (other than shapeshifter) and wondering if the way her "change" is too "out there" or too Mary-sue-ish. Right now it's rather basic, I know, but its just a small idea that I've had, and want the character to be more developed before I delve into the actual story, and this is my first voyage into this whole area of writing... so yeah, please, Help?

Hmm I would think a type of Changling not shapeshifter. Maybe the change is natural because of the need for procreation. Do you have a background story yet.

I knew she didn't sound right as a shape shifter, as for background story, I'll be going into that in the prologue, when I finally get my brain sorted and running smooth enough to concentrate on stories (and spelling apparently)
