Guest echtrae Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 An excellent example of how the system works, or in this case doesn't. US PA: Flour in Condoms Sent Her to Jail Quote
foeofthelance Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 Hmm, I'd give it the contamination vote. From the sounds of things someone doesn't know how to properly maintain their equipment. Quote
Guest Alien Pirate Pixagi Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 ...Son of a... What did they do? like, 20 drug tests before that and not clean the bloody equipment? Quote
Guest echtrae Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 It certainly would explain the wide range of drugs they claim to have found in the flour. Quote
Guest Big Samurai Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 My first thought was that the police were simply saying that they found those results in a field test in an attempt to trip her up and get her to self-incriminate, but I think I've been watching too much Shark, lately. Quote
AmyMcClair Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 Well people do make mistakes and this was a doosey. The mistake could be accounted toward a faulty test, stress of the officers, etc., but ultimately I think that they need to be a hell of a lot more careful in situations like this. I know that extra testing takes time, but she should not have been in jail for two weeks before more testing was done. That is a little excessive. I think she has a case, and as much as I respect the criminal justice system as a whole, when it screws up this royally, it should be held accountable. Quote
