Guest Robin_Mask Posted March 11, 2011 Report Posted March 11, 2011 I just wondered if it would be possible for an author to see exactly what the indiviudal votes on a story were, as opposed to just an average? It's just when a story doesn't get many reviews it still might get a lot of votes. It's very hard for an author to gauge how good a story is and what people think of it without reviews, so if the author could see exactly where the votes were going then it might enable them to get a more accurate picture of how their work was being percieved. Averages are great, but I very rarely see any story on this site below five stars . . . they can't all be works of Shakespeare, surely? It just seems good for an author to say 'oh, this story has far more 1 or 2 rated votes than my other story', because then they know which is less well recieved and can make a more accurate judgement on what works are better than others. I get this might be a rather trivial or implausible request, but I thought I would ask anyway . . . Quote
