Guest echtrae
With 2006 closing, it is time once again for Project Censored to announce the top 25 missing news article of the year. Top 25 Censored Stories of 2007 One thing that I've always liked is that they have small write-up of each of the articles and then an afterword by the author. Guest Big Samurai
Agreed, none of that's really surprising, though I'll certainly make sure to share the link.
quamp
#22 $Billions in Homeland Security Spending Undisclosed According to one report I read, not even the DOHS knows where this money is going. I have to agree with Big Samurai that none of this is surprising. What would be surprising is if one of these stories was covered by mainstream media. However, one story that I'd like to see reported is this: the vast majority of people are apathetic about most of the troubles that don't put a dent into their lives. Global warming? Don't care. Pollution? If it's not in my backyard, don't care.
Guest echtrae
Generally speaking, people tend to be apathetic. They are a product of the culture in which they were raised.
StoryJunkie
[small voice] I'm apathetic [/small voice] That being said, I'd just like to say, "I've known all along" that journalists and people like Mr Black (sure, I'm bone-picking here) feed the people what they want them to know. Every time I see a boring "filler" story on the news, I'm always thinking: "What aren't they telling us?"
