Guest Hopeful Posted December 19, 2010 Report Posted December 19, 2010 The story was fairly complex and I don’t remember all the necessary details but the gist of it is that this one boy finds out a close friend of his kills herself because she is pregnant and the father wouldn’t claim the child, or so everyone believes. Later he learns that he has a skill to imagine things and this other boy, who ‘destiny’ has paired him with him is able to bring what he draws to life. With the help of his ‘partner’ and a female duo similar to them he begins to try and unravel what exactly happened to his friend, he believes that she was raped by a creature that was brought here by a rogue couple/organization of people like him and his partner, not being able to handle the reality of the vicious attack she took her own life but somehow she is now trapped in a place I think the author called the ‘in between’ which he sees in his dreams as a single room with a piano. She comes to visit him there and asks him for his help. That’s all I remember, I hope someone can help, it was the first story in a series and I haven’t been able to locate it; I keep thinking that the second one is makes reference to a Lewis Carroll creature like the Jabberwocky but searching hasn’t yielded any results so I’m afraid it may have been deleted by the author or something. If you know anything I’d appreciate it. Quote
Guest Lisa Posted December 19, 2010 Report Posted December 19, 2010 Yes! Jabborwocky, shit! I couldn't remember that name! This was the third "book" in the series. The second was The Inbetween and I can't remember the first. It was about Brandon, a high school student, who drew and was the creator. Jordan, was his enabler. They were trying to help Leia, Brandon's friend who wound up being pregnant and taken away to this other "dimension". It got really weird and supernatural. I think Brilliant Bean wrote it; I'm not 100 percent sure. Whatever. It's been pulled from AFF. I know this b/c on another site, someone started writing a story almost identical to this story, even the character names were the same. So I wrote this author and blasted him for copying from another author. I haven's seen him since on that site. But, on another site (ok, I have no life!), the same story popped up in the most recent stories. I didn't say anything, but I'm pretty sure it's the same plagarist. It was an excellent and entertaining series. It's too bad she pulled it. Quote
DemonGoddess Posted December 19, 2010 Report Posted December 19, 2010 Hey, if you spot the plagiarised fic here, be sure to tell us will ya? Quote
Guest Hopef Posted December 19, 2010 Report Posted December 19, 2010 That's the story I was talking about, thank you Lisa! It's a shame the author pulled it, did she ever explain why she did? Quote
Guest Gwengwel Posted December 20, 2010 Report Posted December 20, 2010 The story can be found on Aarinfantasy forum: Not The Sun: http://aarinfantasy.com/forum/fiction/showentry.php?e=104198&catid=member&entryuserid=250343 Complet The In Between: http://aarinfantasy.com/forum/fiction/showentry.php?e=104198&catid=member&entryuserid=250343 Complet Jabberwocky: http://aarinfantasy.com/forum/fiction/showentry.php?e=105662&catid=10 WIP Quote
Guest Lisa Posted December 20, 2010 Report Posted December 20, 2010 I actually went into the AFF forums and found an email address to let people know about this. The email was sent back to me, undeliverable, so I haven't done anything else about it. I know the name of the plagarist in the Gay Authors website if you're interested. Quote
Guest Lisa Posted December 20, 2010 Report Posted December 20, 2010 Demon, I sent it to abuse@adult-fanfiction.org and it came back as undeliverable. Do you want me to try again? Quote
DemonGoddess Posted December 20, 2010 Report Posted December 20, 2010 Send it to tos_team@adult-fanfiction.org. The abuse@ address was not used for a long, long time, so we killed the mailbox. Since I asked for it though, you can send it to forums@adult-fanfiction.org, or technicalsupport@adult-fanfiction.org as well. Any of the three, I'll be sure to see it. Thanks very much! Quote
Guest Lisa Posted December 20, 2010 Report Posted December 20, 2010 Hey Demon, I just emailed it to the tos_team address you gave me. Thanks for listening. I was pretty pissed off when I started reading that story and realized it was taken from a story from this site. An excellent story I might add. Yeah, I really blasted the guy; he hasn't updated it, so I'm hoping he took it down from that site. He did post it on the Gay Authors site tho....I can get you his site name if you want. Quote
