Dedicated Writer looking for an experienced Beta

I am a dedicated writer who is searching for an experienced beta. I would like them to have fairly extensive English and editing experience. This is including but not limited to grammar, spelling, sentence structure, conversation, tense/verb use and narration/point of view.

I believe a beta and an author should be a team. The beta serves as a mentor of sorts for the author as the author looks up to the beta for support and learning. I want my story to be the best it can possibly be despite the fact that this is my very first fanfiction, and as such i am willing to accept criticism in all forms. I do prefer my beta to have a sense of humor with their editing. My beta would have to have experience in research so that they can look up things that they may not understand within my writing and possibly tell me, if need be, that my sci-fi explanation of such and such is ridiculously implausible. Ignoring that most of sci-fi is currently implausible otherwise it wouldn't be sci-fi.

Don't worry about my self-esteem since it is pretty much shot to hell anyway. My explanation for this is that I attend the Georgia Institute of Technology. If you know of us that's enough said.

I would like my beta to be flexible and able to help with storyline as well. This includes and is not limited to character personality, chapter transitions, plot device, and limited OOC.

Please be open-minded. I know i am and I understand not everyone is comfortable with everything. Be willing to tolerate crossovers. I know it is hard because I need to tolerate them too. Crossovers need to be thought through and very well done to pull them off.

I am very passionate about this story. I have in the past needed to explain to my editors where i was going with this crossover as they were skeptical at first. Heck, i don't blame them I would be too. In reality AFF is my secondary site of posting and I actually use fanfiction.net as my main site to post my story. The posting is easier to do but I want a much wider and more mature audience. The name of the story is Paths of Destiny: Awakening. I am pretty shaky on the rating system in AFF so I simply rated it to be Adult+ and the categories where simply anything that might or could appear in a real life situation. Ergo I wont be using all or even probably half of them. In fanfiction.net it is simply rated M.

Although this is a fanfiction their will be much that am adding that is of my own creation and that i hope to mend seamlessly within the story.

However, I highly doubt I will use anything other than CO/AU Angst, AU/AR, B-Mod, Crossover, Death, D/A, Exhib, H/C, HJ, very MiCD's, Minor (I am not a pedo get over it as a minor may be classified as anything under 18 and then varies between cultures.), M/F, maybe M/F/F, OC, Oral, Other, Rom, SoloF, SoloM, Tort, Violence.

Do not expect this fic to be pointless. For me this is the first of what is hopefully going to be fanfiction books with a point. It does not revolve around sex.

It is a Harry Potter/Star Wars fanfiction. I can picture your face now. wtf? lightsabers, force and wands, and magic? Heck, no. I don't believe in mixing that type of technology between two worlds and making a power imbalance within the storyline. Some of my amateur editors tried to call my main character a Mary Sue/Marty Stu. However, I pointed out to them that there was a Japanese writing theme that said there is always a stronger enemy. In this case my character, yes it is an original character, is going to go through many trials not all of which he will survive unscathed. I do believe in the idea of a powerful character mixed with the formentioned japanese theme as it allows my character to fight longer harder and get beaten up ALOT more than average and still survive.
