Kyarorin Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 I'd really like to remove my current avatar on the archive and change it to the one I'm using in the forum, but it will not upload. I'm able to change between different avatars, but not fully remove it. Also, when I view my profile on the forum, it shows both my current avatar and the one for the archive. Is it supposed to do that? Can someone help please? Quote

As for the profile, you can have two different pics, for avatar and for your profile. I believe if you upload a new avatar, it will overwrite the old one. At least, last time i tried it did, don't think the forum updates have changed that. Quote
DemonGoddess Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 As memory serves, in the forum, it doesn't actually overwrite your old avatar, but it does orphan it. So what ends up happening is when I run the utility to clean out the orphan attachments for the forum, the orphaned avatars are deleted then. As to removing your current avatar in the archive, I would need the file name so I can delete it for you. Quote
Kyarorin Posted February 11, 2009 Author Report Posted February 11, 2009 It looks like the name of my avatar in the archive is 'picture2'. But, I don't want to delete it from the list of possible avatars. If possible, I just want to be avatar-less until I can figure out how to upload the avatar I'm using in the forum onto the archive. Thank you both for responding Quote
DemonGoddess Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 that's easy enough to fix. You go in to your user panel, select the "noavatar" option (there's an actual file for it) and then you won't have one until you decide what you want to have later. Quote
