Me too - I thought too many fanfics were making me assume people were gay all over the place

I've just looked at the Latest page in Harry Potter, and six of the fifteen entries on the first page are requests or challenges. Three are from the same person, and are not in the Challenges/Requests category. I'm sorry if this sounds all school-teachery, but frankly the "I'm looking for blah blah blah" posts seem like they're threatening to take over HP entirely at the moment, and the state of Latest is by no means unusual. Is there any possibility that 1) requests can be moved to the requests category only, and 2) that 'stories' from the requests/challenges category could be prevented from showing up in Latest. IMO they make the site look like it has no actual fan fic content.

I have one I started in 2002 which I'm vaguely toying with the idea of finishing. And to add to the "why wouldn't you finish" answers - it's not only that real life sometimes takes precedence, it's that sometimes you get completely bored with the idea of fanfiction. This is *so* true. I sit here telling myself to just finish the thing, but why would I bother? I know how it ends now
