They take shelter in a cave and meet a big snake (I think it was referred to as a Sun snake), Snape find out how the Dursleys treat harry and decides to adopt him. It takes place around the time of the Chamber of Secrets because instead of killing the Basilisk, Harry convinces it that Tom Riddle is a false speaker(?)and the Basilisk is so insulted that a false speaker made him kill that the Basilisk hunts Tom did and kills/eats him. The Basilisk then lives with the Sun snake, I also remember at some point Snape is so sick he almost loses his life but the Sun snake walks Harry in how to heal Snape Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
