By fan boys I mean,testerone driven guys, who actually like to read or write Yaoi with pretty male characters inter-acting together in a sexual way. None of my friends want anything to do with yaoi and we're all kind of shocked to see how ridiculous some women get about it. If there are characters in a series that are gay, its not a big deal but I will not watch shows/read manga that are specificaly yaoi themed. And let me put the, "guys like yuri just as much as girls like yaoi" thing to rest, because again, none of my friends are particularly enthused by that either. Except for the mad-scientist one. I even accidentally put in a MPreg plot, didn't notice until someone pointed it out, congratulated me. Bleargh. So, not a fanboy. Someone did say i was quite the hentai, whatever that is supposed to mean, but i'm pretty sure that doesn't mean hot man love action. I mean, if they read my stuff at ALL they would know i'm not into that. And let me put the, "guys like yuri just as much as girls like yaoi" thing to rest, I am, however, quite happy with lesbian porn, which has proven very popular in a number of environments i've been in. I don't get crazy about it, it's just my thing. I do however have a gay male friend that enjoys watching yaoi, but he's not the fanboy type, nor does he write or do anything creative with it. While having the submissive guy as the effeminent one in yaoi is common, it's not required. There are yaoi series out there where the men are indeed men. To answer the question, yes, fan boys exist. My cousin is gay and not only writes yaoi fanfiction, he draws doujinshi for it as well. His husband thinks its 'cute' but doesn't do it himself. But I do know a lot of Lesbians who write yaoi/slash. Me being one of them. I find it much easier to write than het. And I don't want to write yuri, because that just reminds me of living. The Japanese use other words to describe hentai, such as ero. Ecchi is a Japanese word similar to hentai, but less severe. Pretty much everyone here would be ecchi at very least. Your right after further consideration I also came to that opinions too, after I started the topic... there are such individuals that might be considered generic fan boys of manga or of particular anima and it doesn't have to include Yaoi or Hentai... either! But knowing the lovely male species their egos might not appreciate being called a "FAN BOY" in any way, shape, or form just on general principle.
