Pumpkin Spice is up!

Censorship is a blunt tool, wielded for different reasons, with stifling unwanted intents/desires/thoughts from the populace being a desired outcome.  Dictators will dissuade rebellion/revolt/disloyalty.   Clergy want you to stay faithful to their religion (and power), so dissuade blasphemous thoughts.  And parents wanting to be lazy and have the schools do their parenting for them.  And while it may have collateral damage, censorship exists because it can be effective in some situations, delaying the inevitable (and that can be good enough).
Overall, I like AFF because it’s generally supportive of freedom in writing, and the few rules that do exist are to starve the lawyers.  Because, like you, I loathe censorship, that’s why you’ll see the topic appear in my stories from time to time.

Hmm… many outlaws will we have when they make writing/reading without a license illegal?   Fahrenheit 451 anyone?

Witches and Warlocks, I enjoyed last year’s AFF's Tales from the Shoutbox 2015, so lets do it again this year!

I wouldn’t discount the possibility of Matthew hitting the west side, because the current projections have it rebounding back to Florida/Bahamas for a second pass.

Sanity’s overrated.  Crazy’s just the first step to interesting.

Thanks ladies! I’m finding myself in a tough spot now though. I forgot my mom is social media stalking me and she called me to find out what this new book is about.
Me: Um… a hitman that uh… does stuff? 
Her: Oh, sounds like something Ron (my brother) would like. You know he likes those thriller type books. And something about politics too, right? The name is Backdoor Politics? 
Me: Uh…
I don’t have the balls yet to tell her what it’s really about. I may have to tell her it’s only being published in Swahili or something.
 

I'm not worried, I know I'm crazy.

At the point of the explosion, it could certainly go faster, because you’ll have high pressure/temperature.  However, that energy will dissipate as the shockwave moves outward, slowing it down.   Noise from the shockwave will propagate about the speed of sound.   Without getting more details and running the numbers, I can’t get more specific (nor do I really feel like running the numbers at the moment).
